This is more or less my headcanon ending to the Civil War: the Dragonborn leads the Blades reborn and either through force of arms, or charisma and reputation forces both the Imperial Legion and Stormcloaks to support his or her claim instead. The Dragonborn then installs themselves or a supporter as High King or Queen, and then marches on the Imperial City and quickly sweeps to power. The emperor or whoever replaces him (if you assassinate him in the Dark Brotherhood questline) is quickly dispensed with and the Dragonborn sees fit, and a new dynasty is founded.

In my opinion it's one of the best story series for Skyrim. I think a lot of people agree judging by the Nexus rating, however, they are embarrassed to admit it. The Rigmor mods are one person's fan fiction passion project. They are very well made and imaginative. However, the writing is cringe. It's self-indulgent and corny. For comparison, there is a mod about a elven Septim princess which has a superficially similar story, that one is a solid 10/10 cringe pain. Rigmor would be, at most, a 5/10. Medium-to-painful level cringe moments balanced out with some excellent actually awesome moments. Also the author has shown capacity to listen to feedback and criticism. Has heavily revised both mods. One of the changes was often criticized forced romance.

Name himself Dovrick which is a mixure of Ancient Cyrodilic and Dragon language Dov of course meaning Dragon in the Dragon Tongue and Rick meaning King in Ancient Cyrodilic put it together and it says Dragon King. In this case my Dragonborn's name is Agsil Cullen, He's a Nord/Imperial Hybrid, His mother was a Nord and his father was an Imperial, his name Agsil means Burning Heart in the Dragon Language, Now if i went with Option B he would be named Agsil Stormcrown, And if i went with C he would name himself Agsil-Dovrick Cullen and every Emperor after him in his bloodline of course would have the name Dovrick added to their first name say like if he dies and his daughter Kintyra was Empress She would be called Kintyra-Dovrick Mede its kinda like a Middle Name but not exactly.

I think they should make us at least a Septim in Rigmor of Tamriel. You know, I really liked you character backstory, I love reading the backstory of the characters of other people that play Rigmor of Cyrodiil, my headcanon is: The name of my character is Bendu Olo (Is the name of a hero or a well know warrior in the TES lore, I don't remember his story but anyways) He is a Nord, he used to live in Bruma with his father, a retired Moth Priest, his mother was a servant in the Imperial Palace, after his parents got together, they moved to Bruma when his mother was pregnant with him, she died in chilbirth. (I like to think that his mother knew her destiny, she talked to Akatosh in the Catedral just like Rigmor in Dragonchild) After 10 years, his father was requested to the Imperial City by Titus Mede II himself, he wanted him to read with a Elder Scroll, when he read the Scroll, he saw Civil Wars happening all over Tamriel, Dragons destroying Villages, Vampires attacking cities and farms and the sun turning red, he saw a battle around the Imperial City and the man leading the attack was using a shout to destroy enemy armies and in the end, he saw the same man alongside a woman sitting in the Ruby Throne and being named Emperor of Cyrodiil and a child being born and being called Dragon princess. After reading the Scroll he went blind and lied to the emperor because he knew the man.. it was his son, at least a future version of him and to protect his son, he lied. After 15 years, the moth priest was dying and he used his final breaths to tell his son about his destiny, he told him that he should go to Skyrim and fulfill his destiny. Well then my Dragonborn story begins. (Yes, my Dragonborn is the same Dragonborn from that Fan Film) Well I'm trying to do a Canon playtrought for the Rigmor saga and trying to keep faithful to the TES 5 Lore, so I only did some quests: Main Quest & Rigmor of Bruma Spared Paarthurnax's life Used Paarthurnax Dillema to force the blades to spare Paarthurnax's life Helped the Blades kill Dragons that wouldn't accept Paarthurnax "Way of the voice" Wyrmstooth questline Helped Ulfric fighting the Forsworn in the Reach and getting betrayed by the Stormcloaks in Markath (Forsworn Cospyracy after the Stormcloak take control over Markath after the Truce made by the Greybeards and the Dragonborn) Joined the Imperials and killed Ulfric Started searching for the Dragon priests lairs to get the Konahrik mask (Used Konahrik's Accoutrements mod) Did the College questline and gave the Scroll to them Did the Companions questline but didn't became a Werewolf. Did the Dawnguard questline to save his family Falskaar questline And afyer returning from Falskaar he found his family killed Then he joined the Dark Brotherhood in hope to find who killed his family Killed the Emperor and stayed in High Hrontgar studying with the Greybeards (mastered all the shouts) Did the Rigmor of Cyrodiil questline and now I'm waiting for Rigmor of Tamriel to end my character story and finally being trapped at Apocrypha by Hermeus Mora.

Never played the mods listed in the description but my own idea about the development of The Elder Scrolls canon is that the Last Dragonborn becomes first the High King of Skyrim and then the next Emperor. That must lead to a second Great War, this time ending with a decisive Imperial victory against the Thalmor and a restoration of free Talos worship.
@sergiomoney101 Жыл бұрын
I agree. I personally always loved the idea of the dragonborn being a non-nord and better yet, a non-human. Could you imagine the irony if the dragonborn was a high elf? It would be like whiplash to nords and the thalmor.
@KeyWiteWolf Жыл бұрын
@@sergiomoney101 Funny you should say that. While I have played many characters and themed runs in Skyrim over the years, my "main" character and the story I considered my canon for events was with a High Elf. If you read the books scattered around Skyrim, you come to find out that not all High Elves agreed with the Thalmor, and some of the noble houses were deeply opposed to what the Dominion had become, and openly defied and/or rejected the Thalmor. As I am sure comes as no surprise, those houses and people were branded traitors and slaughtered by the Thalmor. (Again, this is canon to the actual game and is referenced more than once in books and letters you find, if you go digging.) With my character, the idea is she came from one of the noble houses that openly defied the Thalmor, and had originally had ties to Skyrim and Cyrodiil. So when the Thalmor came to murder the rest of her family, she had survived because she had been sent away just prior to the attack, to connect with allies in Skyrim. Her father knew they'd all be killed, and there was no point in them all running, but one person is not so hard to smuggle away. But of course, she got intercepted at the border and taken to Helgan. She is a little surprised to learn she is the Dragonborn, for obvious reasons, but is totally happy to champion the cause. She actually disagrees with the rejection of Talos, because in her family, it was felt that since the mer gods themselves accepted him into their ranks, it was divine mandate, and trying to say otherwise just because he was born human was the real blasphemy. She believes that the Dominion has become twisted and corrupted, and needs to have it's "sickness" cut out of it like a cancerous tumor. So she is very much on the side of uniting the people of both Skyrim and Cyrodiil to fight the corrupted Thalmor.

@@glishev Thank you. Heh, when we start getting into Elder Scrolls lore and history, it can get a bit... messy. And of course, a lot of the history depends on who wrote it. But it's safe to say that in the modern world, there's a fair bit of mixed blood. There's evidence to suggest that the very first humans and very first elves were different races, and the current ones diverged and developed naturally from them (creating different genomes, like we see with the human races), but all of the human and mer races have been, let's say "diluted", with mixed blood over time. Especially when some races were enslaved, as a lot of mixing happens in those times. Though I do admit, genetics in the ES universe are a bit... odd. I'm going to have to assume this is because of game limitations, and the game only recognizing set races, and not having files to allow half-breeds. But in the actual games, we see countless times humans are married to non-humans, but children, if they have any, are one race or the other. Logically, those kids should be some kind of half-breed race. Here's hoping we can actually see some of that in ES6. As quite a few of my characters over the years were meant to be half-breeds of some sort, but I had to leave that up to roleplaying, and was stuck making them one race, based on what I thought might be the dominant genome. I'm curious to hear about your own characters, as I love to hear people's stories. And let me know if you want to hear any more about mine as well. If you want another way to contact me, to talk more about stories and lore, my email is the same as my username here, at gmail, so I'm a pretty easy person to track down.

I'd be content with the option to become the commander of the Empire's entire army and ability to declare war, then declare war against the Aldermeri Dominion, leading the legions and destroying the Aldermeri Dominion. The Stormcloak option is just a sorry and temporary attempt to restore Talos worship. The only true way to bring it back is to give the Thalmor hell and wipe their smug selves off of the face of Nirn. No more Dominion or Thalmor. No more White-Gold Concordant.
@5226-p1e Жыл бұрын
yeah but the reason why the empire folded to the white gold concordat was because they were getting their asses kicked by the thalmor, the peace treaty and the banishment of talos was due to the thalmor trying cause a civil war to allow the empire to fight against itself, losing crucial solders on both sides that they could have used to fight up against the thalmor. the thalmor are just better at this chess game from the vanilla story perspective. it's too bad you couldn't provide the proof of this at the gray beard peace treaty as the dragonborn obtained the truth within the thalmor embassy documents of their treachery and that the civil war was really their doing and Ulfric was playing into their hands even though he believed that he was in the right. but yeah it would have been great to have shown these documents to everyone in that peace treaty when they made Elenwin leave the room as an option, because at that point they could have at the very least been able to know where they all stood and possibly make the thalmor believe they were still at war with each other while they rebuild their army and think tactfully in how to better combat the situation further. the funny thing is i used to believe Ulfric was in the right, but when you find these documents, suddenly everything becomes clear in what's going on.
@whitestar7641 Жыл бұрын
@@5226-p1eI did too! I was a complete Stormcloak supporter to begin with because my thought was, “religious oppression? Desire for freedom? They’re just like America during the Revolution!” I couldn’t have been more wrong, I found the evidence at the embassy, then began to dig deep in the lore, discovering what Talos was really like. Man that changed me, I felt like I had been betrayed, then that turned to bitterness, and bitterness to rage, finally it dissolved into resolution and logic. I knew what had to be done, the only hope was the Empire, they had clearer minds and vision. I had always disregarded Tullius’ words before he was killed. Now those words haunt me because I didn’t have the sight to see. I may not like Talos at all and wish the 8 would rip him from the heavens for what he did in life, but I still respect the Nords enough to let them believe in him. I would like to see the Dominion cleansed of the Thalmor, because they are only a ruling body controlling the Dominion. In truth, I would like to see some of the bits we get from mods be true. That there is an actual ruler of the Summersets who believes the Thalmor are wrong and are waging a secret war from the shadows against them. It would be cool to know that some are standing up to the Thalmor from their own land. I even wouldn’t mind if the Thalmor are destroyed, but the Dominion continues to live as they see fit, under a kind and wise ruler who wishes to maintain ties with the Empire as a vassal state. The idea of a good empire is a nice change of pace from what we most often see in the real world history and in fiction, but the idea of having the Empire and the Dominion learn to coexist peacefully and bring a new and better age would be so awesome.
@KeyWiteWolf Жыл бұрын
@@whitestar7641 Well, the idea the some of the High Elves are fighting from the shadows is actually not so far off. My "main" Skyrim character was a High Elf, and part of her story was inspired by the fact that if you go reading the books and letters you find around Skyrim (and I mean, you have to be a weirdo like me and read everything), you find references to there being some High Elves, and even some noble houses, who were deeply opposed to the Thalmor, and disagreed with what the Dominion had become. As I am sure is no shock, those who openly defied the Thalmor were branded traitors and slaughtered. But it did prove that in actual Skyrim canon, there *were* people of the Dominion who opposed the Thalmor, and would likely have fought them. The issue just being that the Thalmor became so powerful, they could silence or eliminate any opposition. Or at least, that we know of. But it does leave a lot of opening for the idea of people pretending to support the Thalmor, and then working behind the scenes to undermine them from within. Given the Thalmor's arrogance, it might work, as long as they are not discovered or trust the wrong people.

This is literally my head canon For my DB Emperor, this may be tmi but in my head canon I steal inspiration from Warhammer 40k and believe My DB makes a Primarch per each race, to lead legions etc….
@IIAnaxiezzII Жыл бұрын
That’s pretty cool. It’s always fun combining ideas from other games into your headcanon. I like to roleplay that my DB is actually also the Hero Of Kvatch and the Vestige, he fights in the Great War, witnesses the signing of the WGC, but because Akatosh has plans for him he gets caught in a Dragon break and sent back in time to the Oblivion crisis, achieving all the things you do there, then same happens again and he’s sent back to the Intereggnum in the events of ESO - the reasoning for this is to make preparations so that when he comes back to Skyrim’s Timeline, different provinces recognise him as this ancient hero who helped them making it easier for him to reunite the Empire, and also so he gains insider knowledge of the various cultures and locales of Summerset, Valenwood in the event he has to fight the Dominion. When you reclaim your soul in ESO, that’s the moment he becomes Dragonborn as akatosh has blessed the soul since losing it, and he returns to Skyrim 25 years after he started as the Dragonborn.

In the days of the first and second era, Sons of Atmora and children of Nedic Cyrodiil would raise legions of man to serve a dragonborn Emperor, to dislodge Ayleids, to conquer tamriel, overthrow colovian despots and Nibenese warlords, and to March upon Cyrodiil with the shout opening gates and leveling walls in replace of catapults and battering rams. Like the old legends and tales of Talos. Thus the Bane of Alduin the last dragonborn once again marches upon the imperial city of the white tower ushers a fourth incarnation of the empire of man, the final empire of Nedes and Atmorans of imperials and Nords, who follow the final dragonborn Emperor, in historic events that rival Alyessia, Tiber Septim and other great men ages long past. All hail the Emperor, all hail the dragonborn blessed son of Akatosh and Kynerath. And once again, men of Skyrim and the natives of Cyrodiil raise arms for the return of the triumphant Emperor and dragonborn.

But for real, why didn't they give the option to become emperor. You have legions of wizards, assassins, werewolves, vampire's hunters,thieves, the champions of the nine and deadric princes, the blades, master of more then 20 thu'um, slayer of dragons, the last dovahkiin. Currently one of the most powerful warrior in probably all of tamriel, you particularly a god walking amongst men. And you cant still become the emperor. That is some BS.
@advocatusdiaboli99712 ай бұрын
You have to differentiate game-logic from lore-logic. Likely, in-lore, the last DB only did the main quest and the DLC main quests (likely the dawnguard one in that case). But I still think that the last DB is a good candidate to usher in a new imperial dynasty for the empire. Just from those quests: -Definitely a dragonborn, which makes them walking divinity on nirn, and definitely a good candidate to succeed the dragonblood emperor line that started with Talos/Tiber Septim. -Has a certain sovereignty over dragons by defeating Alduin. Also can at least call two dragons and can dominate Dragons with a shout. -Can dominate people with shouts Also, the emperor just died. While it likely wouldn't have been the DB that killed him, the events of the side quests still canonically happen typically.

Cool idea! But they’re not turning into something new. They’re rejoining the Empire. The Empire has always been a major part of The Elder Scrolls. It’s historically been the very symbol of unity you’re talking about. It’s always been about uniting different races, and you hear Argonians and Khajiit mention this in Windhelm. The Stormcloaks are new, they only exist due to Titus Mede II signing the White Gold Concordat - before that the Nords and other races were proud to fight for the Empire. With the Dragonborn as Emperor, the White Gold Concordat gets thrown out, the grievances they had against the Empire are no longer relevant, and so the Empire reclaims the respect it lost at the time of Skyrim and people are happy to rejoin it.
@5226-p1e Жыл бұрын
@@IIAnaxiezzII the white gold concordat was created by the thalmor to cause the civil war in order to garnish the ranks in numbers of solders on both sides of the empire, unfortunately Ulfric fell for it hook line and sinker and started the civil war. it's just really too bad the dragonborn couldn't have used the documents he found within the thalmor embessy to prove this fact during the graybeard peace council to show them they were both being played in this civil war by the thalmor. it's sad because they could have prevented so much more bloodshed at that point of the vanilla story with this knowledge and they could have united or at the very least pretended to still hate each other so that the thalmor wouldn't know they were planning anything to counter attack the thalmor, but it appears the thalmor are much better at playing war with propaganda than the nords and the imperials.

I appreciate your input, but I think you’re taking it a bit too rigidly and literally. There's room for personalisation in how the game is played. Headcanon allows players to explore their own narratives without strict boundaries - that’s all this vid is. While I acknowledge that certain elements in the video are not *technically* correct - Serana sitting on the Throne with my Dragonborn being the most obvious - the primary intention was to showcase my headcanon. Going by the comments, most people understood and enjoyed the video for what it is. And while becoming Emperor as part of the Skyrim Civil War isn't possible in the vanilla game, it still would be the best outcome for the civil war - so I think my title is fine. @@honinakecheta601 yeah that's perfectly fine, as head cannon goes the dragonborn could be any age and custom's could be anything outside of our own, if you notice skyrim is very open with your sexual partners and isn't a political thing even though the depiction of the time period looks to be in an era where that kind of thing didn't happen in our own history up until the last 2 decades and become normalized. so obviously some things are from our society, and our society's belief systems, but not everything, and head cannon could be anything among these things. i mean my headcannon is that Miraak escaped Apocrypha and took over solsthime and skyrim while the last dragonborn went to sovengard to fight alduin, but because time moves faster on nirn than in sovengard, a lot of time passed without the last dragonborn being around of him being there, which allowed Miraak to be able to dismantle the empires hold in skyrim, and bend the will of both the stormecloaks and the empire in skyrim on his side, so when the last dragonborn returns, he now has to face Miraak and his army of cultists and dragons across the landscape. anyway that's just part of a fanfiction i was writing lol, it's nowhere near finished, but it does have a great story to it i think.

I feel like this outcome would not play out how most would think. To take the war to Cyrodiil and topple the Medes would only further weaken the Empire. And given the LORE scale of the Elder Scrolls, where battles are waged with thousands of troops, vs Game scale where it’s like 20 guys on each side. The Dragonborn himself wouldn’t have as much of an impact on individual battles. All the dominion would have to do is wait out the Dragonborn’s death, which unless they are an Elf (Why would any Mer Dragonborn lead an empire of exclusively men) would only be like 40-50 more years. A blink of time for high elves. All the Dragonborn becoming emperor does is shatter the short term military, economic and governmental power of the Empire. In exchange for an undisputed emperor, which would only cause some unification among the population, but likely not a significant margin more than what already existed.
@WWalton1996 Жыл бұрын
I mean, if we're going off how powerful a Dragonborn can become within the lore, they could probably solo entire battlefields. Stopping time while killing their enemies? Wielding blades as fast the wind? Turning comrades against one another? Turning dozens of men at a time into ice cubes that can't move while their allies are slaughtered? I mean you can become intangible to any attack of any kind! Not to mention that they could be carrying any number of impossibly powerful Daedric artifacts, which in lore are much stronger than they are in game. I mean the Skeleton Key alone can unlock the inner potential of a being as easily as it can a lock, giving the Dragonborn access to a hundred years worth of training in the Way of the Voice in an instant, stacked on top of their freakishly fast ability to master the Thu'um. They can call multiple dragons to their aid in the battle, including an undead dragon that simply cannot die, and if "slain" can be resummoned immediately. They can tear out the souls of soldiers, raising them as undead in the same instant. They can create tornadoes to throw entire battalions of troops around like papers in front of a fan. They can use Marked for Death on crowds of soldiers to reduce their health, weaken their armour, and make them more susceptible to damage. And yes, a weakened Empire might suck for groups in the long hall, but as it stands they have nothing to rebuild anyway. Skyrim in this hypothetical is lost to them, they lost Hammerfell when they sold a chunk of it to the Thalmor without their permission, and the Redguards beat them back regardless. They lost Morrowind when they pulled all of their troops out of Morrowind to defend the homeland during the oblivion crisis, and dunmer families that supported the empire were sent into exile. Highrock is somewhat of a mystery in 4E201, but considering it doesn't share a land border with the capitol with all of it's neighbours having left the Empire, odds are they're cut off to some extent, and wouldn't gain as much by remaining part of the Empire. Valenwood and Elsweyr belong to the Thalmor now, and Black Marsh is too busy being isolationist/fucking with Morrowind to be part of the Empire either (not that they ever TRULY were, no imperials ever saw the inner swamps). So it seems to me like Cyrodiil, if bested by the Dragonborn with the aid of the Stormcloaks, crowning the Dragonborn as their new emperor would probably do better off than if they stayed united with the Empire. At least with every country becoming independent, they could agree to defensive pacts and unite forces against a common enemy, without anyone being beholden to the empire and feeling embittered about that. Instead they can all set aside differences to make a stand, defeat the Thalmor, and then try to trade and rebuild, each as their own independent kingdoms, rather than provinces of a greater empire. Doesn't sound so bad to me.
@IIAnaxiezzII Жыл бұрын
The vast majority of the Empire here supports the Dragonborn. I don’t know if you noticed but in the battle there were Alik’r Warriors from Hammerfell and Nords from Skyrim fighting to put him on the throne. Not to mention you also have a Justianus Quintius’ legions from High Rock fighting with the Dragonborn. This is established in the mod but not included on the vid. You also have backing from Bruma, Anvil, Skingrad and Bravil. So literally every province and half the cities of Cyrodiil support the Dragonborn. Contrary to being fractured, the Empire is incredibly unified in wanting the Dragonborn emperors back. Even the other cities of cyrodiil don’t support the current Emperor and are only fighting due to politicking and manipulation due to the ambitions of count of Leyawiin. (Another aspect of the video I didn’t include) Plus the Dragonborn also ends up creating a new Dynasty. The line of Dragonblood doesn’t end with his death, just as it didn’t with Alessia’s, Or Reman Cyrodiil’s or Tiber Septim’s. Part of the significance of this is you’re not just putting a single Dragonborn emperor on the throne, you’re creating a whole new Dynasty to ensure the long term prosperity of the Empire. The mod also leads on to the reforging of the amulet of kings (to be added in the next instalment) so trust me, the Empire is FAR better off after this
@Hraktuus Жыл бұрын
Tiber Septim conquered all of Tamriel within his lifetime. Who's to say the Dragonborn couldn't do the same? It really depends on foiling the Aldermeri Dominion's ultimate sinister plans, however. To be truly successful, the Dragonborn would likely have to devote resources to constructing a new Numidium before the Elves do... The Dragonborn could also go on a Pelinal Whitestrakesque rampage in the Summerset Isles.

@@kingbrennus1580 Actual answer: A few reasons. 1• She allows you to flesh out your character and is the only NPC who asks you questions regarding your back story. 2• She has a sympathetic background with a very tragic back story, a lot of people like the idea of giving her happiness. 3• She was quite clearly written to illustrate a potential mutual attraction with the Dragonborn. She literally asks if you’re single, talks about how she’s not lonely anymore because of you, and if your affinity is high enough, when you ask her to marry you, she flat out tells you she cares about you. “A lot”, but just can’t bring herself to ask for a blessing like that because of what she is and how she’s lived. So naturally people connected with her and empathised with her. There’s also cut dialogue showing Bethesda intended to make her marriable. Meme answer: Serana best girl. @@IIAnaxiezzII techniqually you don't have to play the quest mod for that other than recognition from the NPCs you could use the high king mod that let you issue high king command after getting 40 votes + go to the imperial city without reading the letter that starts quest to claim your rightful place
@IIAnaxiezzII Жыл бұрын
@@yep1486 Maybe. But then you don’t get the awesome scene in the video where you fight your way to White Gold Tower and get welcomed by The Emperor’s Hand and the Imperial Legion as they celebrate finally having a Dragonborn on the Throne again. Honestly I like playing through the quest. Or several quests of various mods you can use to supplement each other. Makes it feel like a whole process which then culminates in what you see in the vid. Narratively it feels earned and by waiting and taking your time to play through the stories, this really feels worth it.

yep, it's a mod. it's amazing in the story perspective, but it's super boring when it comes to gameplay as most of the time you will be spending your time listening to stuff and not really doing a whole lot. so it works perfect as a fan movie kind of thing, but not so much as a gameplay element, that fighting scene was the biggest thing this mod allowed, i mean there were a few other times where you get attacked by the snake people which i can't spell.
