I also just realized that I didn't even factor the 25% DEF bonus gorou provides when using his burst so actually he'll end up buffing Itto by much more than just 14% higher than Bennett, the calculations in the video are accurate under the assumption that you're only using gorou's skill to buff itto. This whole shtick of specialized supports is imo good for the balance and variety in the gameplay. What's great with Gorou is that he fulfills his niche well even at c0. Mine is only c2, ran in mono geo, so in terms of damage increase he contributes as much as c0, and he still does it really well. I'm excited to get him to c6 in the upcoming banner.

This is a banner that I would pretty confidently advise against pulling on unless you want Itto. If you DO want him, it’s great by default because Gorou is there, but otherwise, all three of the 4 stars are very niche but that’s just an opinion from like a ‘meta’ perspective :):)

also one thing to note is that if you are new to the game then you should really just pull for characters you yourself like. Overworld content is very easy and the only thing worth building characters seriously for is the abyss and some battle oriented events. If you dont care about meta then do what you want

thats why i was so salty when i got itto early winning 50/50 at 35 pity and didn't get a single gorou after another 60+ pulls (stopped because i didn't wanna risk 5 star). Also that banner was so unforgiving because the other 4 stars you could get is barbara and xiangling, both of which are the first 2 characters i have C6 of. I got him the next patch 3x in a row on the standard and I have C3 now.

So here's my story with these two- I'm a huge Gorou simp. I waited FOREVER for him to come out. I saved EVERY primogem for him. I hadn't pulled since the Kazuha banner, so every single Inazuma primo was all his. I even pre-farmed mats for him, which I had never done before. Suffice to say that after all this story build up and how much I wanted him, I was a little disappointed that he was 100% a support unit with no real offensive capability, and a very niche one at that. I ended up doing so many pulls that I got an Itto. I thought, "well, I mean, I want to use Gorou. I might as well." So i raised him. I'm still kind of pissed that Gorou can't really stay on the field for too long during combat and doesn't really do damage, but at least he's part of a great combo.

I've been using itto without Gorou. SP and some decent (80:190) artifacts but not the best and while he deals real good damage he does feel a little bit restricted in terms of rotation and also energy. I've been hoping to pull 1 gorou so that my mono Geo could be good as well since i already have john.

i am only 30 seconds in the video and i have to say i agree with god duo and how much they synergize seriously, the trial itto gorou in the perilous trail event almost matched my itto (w/o gorou cuz hoyo don't want me to buff itto) with r2 redhorn, 2.2k def, around 210%+ crit dmg and that trial itto only has whiteblind with probably around 100%+ crit dmg (i havent checked though), so with that in mind this video is already correct in the first 30 seconds even if both had benny buff and zhongli shield buff, so technically trial itto has more buffs + event buffs, but the fact it could match the damage similarly is amazing

As a f2p pmayer I use the god duo with Ningguang who acts as a battery and secondary dps and Mona as damage buff and cristallise shield provider. I haven't found any better team with them (They are my only five star alongside Qiqi who doesn't synergise very well and my Noelle is c1 only so...)

Isn't Sarah was the first 4* support that was exclusively created for Raiden? I mean yeah, you could pair her with Keqing, but she's probably the only character that can work with Sarah naturally. to be fair while she was created with the intention of buffing raiden in mind, sara is still a universal support that can boost everyone’s atk. she only becomes exclusively an electro buffer once you get her to c6. meanwhile gorou was created to boost def, and geo is kinda known for def

@@khoiphan2990 i don't have Sara on my main account because i skipped Raiden like twice. And my second account have her c1 because i got "lucky" on weapon banner. I never raised her because second account is a mobile acc, and it's hard to charge her buff, so i'm patiently waiting for her c2 at least so i could build her as a support for my Keqing. But still i remember that her buff lasts only 6 seconds or so (?), which means that not many characters would get benefit from that buff anyway, especially if she's c0. That's why i find her very specific and not very useful support without constellations.

Personally I think you don't need a shielder. If you're like me I use Itto, Gouru, Albedo, Bennett which works great for me but if you do have Zhongli & he isn't needed in another abyss team use him

Yun Jin won’t benefit from Gorou’s buff if she isn’t the active character on the field, and also, her burst won’t snapshot the def bonus he provides so unless you’re using Gorou specifically to support a main DPS Yun Jin, which is quite a niche comp, she doesn’t work with him

It's because gorou gives geo " a none reaction damage " everything it needs, he gives Def "that's equivalent to attack" crit damage, and geo damage bonus, I have been begging mihoyo for something similar for Eula. Smh

No. Unless you’re using Noelle instead of Itto, Yun Jin doesn’t synergize at all with Itto and Gorou because she doesn’t snapshot Gorou’s def bonus for her buffs, and her buffs only apply to Itto’s normal attacks, which aren’t the main source of his damage
