arguably in terms of the piano ttfaf is far from the pinnacle of technical accomplishment. Arguably any of Liszt's transcendental etudes are much closer to fulfillfing that "pinnacle" of technical accomplishment mark. However I digress. Note that however that I'm not saying that this performance wasn't impressive in its own right. Just that this song shouldn't be considered the pinnacle of technical accomplishment cheers.

Agreed. Through the fire and flames is like that for most instruments. It’s more about being fast than it is technical. Admittedly though, it’s a whole lot of song to work with, and could be made far more technical if one wanted to.

I mean, it’s basically the same as being a keyboardist, which DragonForce has, and which is a bigger part of a lot of their songs than you’d think. The intro to TTFAF, for example, wouldn’t be what it is without him.

I have seen some other people trying to do this on piano as well. But the difference i see here is that you have more grace and passion behind the song whereas they play it as if they are fighting to play it. You are simply flowing while playing the song and in my personal opinion it sounds way better than anything they could do because you are doing that. Great performance.

Вау! Мне очень нравится оригинал. Нравится, за его энергию, темп, агрессию, брутальность. Прочтя название ролика, я сомневался, что смогу увидеть всё это. И я был прав - брутальности не было ни на каплю. :) Но вместо этого появилось что-то новое. Что-то, прежде непредставимое. Вдруг оказалось, что ко всей агрессии произведения, к этому безумному темпу, можно добавить долю женственности. Долю красоты. Долю великолепия. При просмотре видео я слышал не просто оригинал. Я слышал исходную композицию, пропущенную через восприятия автора кавера. Я словно бы ощутил то, как Александра воспринимает эту мелодию. Это было чувственно. Это было энергично. Это было впечатляюще. Спасибо.

Okay, so she is incredible, no doubt. But this is misleading, she posted "Difficulty level asian" but then we see a split frame where she paused to take a drink of water, and added the second recording after her break. An Asian would have played both parts and drank water while playing so....

Oh my God. This girl is absolutely amazing and obviously very talented. An outstanding performance of an awesome band. DragonForce would give this a standing ovation. My mom played piano for our church during my childhood as well as at home when Dad, (a railroad worker) was away. I remember when she played I was glued to the sound of that piano. Mom is now gone but the piano is still dear to my heart. Thx so much for the beautiful memories and an awesome performance.

Underrated comment. You're exactly right. This is AMAZING piano playing, but it's physically impossible for someone to move their hands on a piano as fast as someone moving just their fingers on a guitar. That said, she is an incredible piano player and note/timing wise, this is perfect.
