Your explanation of Tingyun’s new design is exactly why I like Hoyoverse’s characters. It’s not just “Oh, here’s a Chinese Nine-Tailed Fox” and call it a day. There’s a lot going on when you look into it with references to Nihility, Flowers (Ressurection), and Venus (Aphrodite, Ishtar, Morning Star). This way the character actually carries some meaning.

There was no real debate over this topic anyway. The evidence supporting Sunday's thematic connection to the Morning Star is so overwhelming against any other alternatives to the point where you're arguing for its favour is essentially useless, it's like trying to argue that the Ocean is Blue... The Irony is that Morning Star also refers to Jesus as well. Morning Star is used to refer to Lucifer for so long people forgot and are surprised when Revelation also refers to Christ as the Morning Star. ​@@DedeTheHut

Tingyun/Fugue and Sunday are probably the best written characters in the game so far. And I used to hate Sunday, but the story really helped changed my mind on him. Very nice analysis. Nice to know my girl Tingyun is gonna be very OP lore wise! XD

Speaking of simmilarities between Genshin and HSR Emberfire, the song which plays during the Alrecchino animation also has some correlated lines, such as: "May the birds soar from their cage Sunbeams filter through the foliage: "By the grace of pain" "Stay awake, don't fall asleep The way is long and the gloom is deep" "Nothing to fear, never look back Go ahead" "You cut down the thorns again and again Your pride will not be slain From the heart to the veins" Considering that Sunday as a Halovian already had angel motiefs and Arlecchino is a ressurected outlander it makes sense that she also has angelic motifs in her desing.

I got the headcanon that the travelers are the Children of Sunday and Aglaea, hence why their kit really meshes well. And "Phanes" is actually instead of an ambiguous gender is a couple god that establishes humanity on Teyvat in the Path of Order then things went to shit when the "Second" Descender came.

This is just a minor point in the video overall but I’m curious about the interpretation of Wonweek. I would argue that Wonweek is more obviously the shadow, since he contains the parts of Sunday that are repressed. Wonweek openly expresses the concern and care for Robin that would normally be kept quiet. He bluntly insults people and acts childishly and defiantly. He basically does everything Sunday would hate doing. That fits the definition of the shadow to me. He does represent the past villain Sunday to an extent, since he looks like him, but I don’t think that implies the current Sunday is a shadow self taking over. My interpretation of Wonweek taking on the old Sunday’s appearance is that it’s to convey the main Sunday’s relationship with his “past selves” in general. How he has a tendency to disown aspects of himself he dislikes and deem them as belonging to the past (a line about leaving his childish ways comes to mind). The conclusion of the quest would then be him learning to accept the negative parts of himself as actually belonging to himself and not just being remnants of the past, which lines up with the video’s interpretation. Wonderful video and I can’t wait to hear thoughts about Amphoreus

Hmm...I still don't think Wonweek is Sunday's past self, since Sunday stated he is a possibility that he could have become, and more likely the him that didn't lost his faith in Xipe as he has more knowledge in tuning with the harmony as stated ingame during the quest. Like the only similarity Wonweek and 2.0-2.2 Sunday have is their smugness but that's it. Wonweek is more like the shadow Aventurine in 2.1. Also I don't know if you noticed but there were more Sundays not just Wonweek they were hidden away in Sunday's mindspace and then dissapeared when he used his tuning on himself and it's more likely that just like there was a slightly normal Tingyun, the slightly normal Sunday was Wonweek.

That's a terrible analysis on your part because Sunday straight-up tells Welt towards the end that the laughing candy divided his fragile Self into two parts whereas Wonweek is clearly the other part. So you are just wrong. As for the "many Sundays" you mention, I think you are conflating the symbolism used in the quest as being actual physical material.
