I don't think they would mind much, the guy who founded parkour david belle trained inside gyms frequently. I think they identified the problems accurately in the video. Time is the most expensive resource for a business. Personal trainers charge from £50 to £100 per hour plus expenses to 400 to 800 a day. They also probably run group sessions in the evenings so let's say 1000 to 1500 per day. That is one heck of an investment in a business.

The one thing that gets me on these pitches is the dragons going on about valuation. Peter could have offered 150k for 10%, and they would very likely have accepted. That would have halved the valuation and knocked off 1.5m straight away. I remember when tej called out jenny for not making an offer if she liked the business but not the valuation, a lot of the dragons would do well to learn from that.

They have a business today, but it's basically only their own gym space and a few classes. It frankly cannot be scaled since any better parkours amateur can set it up. As for a sports for amateurs - it's rather one of the most injury-prone ones out there. They need good insurance and even then litigation in a country like the US would virtually exclude it. It's at best a niche market of a niche market with some followers - barely enough to sustain one such gym in a big city like London - let alone smaller cities or countries.
@WobblesandBean4 жыл бұрын
As someone who tried to learn parkour, and failed miserably (and painfully), I agree. Besides, all you really need to start with is a concrete wall and a friend to spot you, why pay exorbitant amounts of money for this?
@SylvainOfGandahar4 жыл бұрын
@@WobblesandBean Keep in mind that already crossfit resulted in many injuries, then parcour is like crossfit times 20. Explosive movements that impact heavily the body can result in severe injuries. Also you require a certain body-type that many don't have. It's not worth the risk. Just like I asked around extreme mountain-bikers and everyone said that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM GETS HURT BAD sooner or later, because you cannot possibly control your bike during all those rides. There are so many easier sports where you get the dream body or have a great time, that it frankly does not make much sense.

Have never liked Debra since I started watching this series. She is so full of herself, I am amazed how she made millions with that personality.

She was surprisingly rude to Jenny. No need for it.

Interesting how the accounts on Companies House differ to those given and the growth hasn't taken place by the look of it either. Not good accounts to look at but at least it is still going.

I admire the guys enthusiasm, but gyms just wouldn't have the space for this.

Did the usually amazing Deborah really think this guy got Parkour recognized as sport in the UK? I don't think he himself said anything close to that. 9:10

Jenny knocks the business for being profitable without needing much capital start up. That is not a negative, Jenny. Nor is that not having skin in the game. If the business goes south, they lose their profitable business - that is what having skin means.

I do not think that the entrepreneur's know how the valuation equation works , they only know what they need and what they are prepared to offer in equity.
