@@Davidd0411 Well yes, I would applaud it if that was what it was meant to do but that's not how or why it was introduced for British Reality tv, given that visually-impaired voice-overs run side-by-side with the main programme - not within it - and describe the scene fully. Just reading out bits here and there is not support for the blind - it's just dumbed-down tv. Try watching a film or drama with the vi voice-over switched on and you'll see what I mean.

It says it must clearly state to you that by entering the establishment that it collects this data and what it shall do with the data. You will of course be asked to agree or be made aware that by entering the establishment that you agree to those terms. It should also make available to you a route to be able to ask what data they hold and who the data controller is (named person). As we can see from the card reader there’s no user input to agree to those terms which would require a huge fucking sign in front of the customer to satisfy that they’ve made the customer aware (reasonably). If this was used as a nightclub entry system and stored the data then it could be easily argued that customers who are drunk can’t reasonably be responsible for entering contracts or agreements like that, in those situations.

@Smoket exactly, all backdoor shit. Just like facebook or google "promised" to keep your data private, and then oopsie... and that shit was made public, just imagine how much is done behind closed doors and imagine what they do with that information; google already admitting to socially engineering the "correct" political mindsets in people by search results, and personalizing advertisements for you, or like amazon Alexa always listening to you even when you're not talking to it to build a profile around everything you are proactively tell you what you need. The real thing to watch out now for is government getting their fingers in this shit, they already backdoor all these services for "security" purposes, but then they'll start pushing this shit on you and you won't even be able to say no like you can to the tech giants by refusing to use their services. Reminds of that time when in UK they were trialing public face scanners for again "security" reasons, and some guy covered his face as he walked by, they fined him... Worst part no one talks about this shit, even after snowden everyone seems to have forgotten, but then they'll give you an entire spiel on China's social system or Russia blocking internet that they got from "news". What good is it pointing at those places when you own ass is getting thoroughly lubed up for some minority report type fuckening of a century. May this control freak shit all burn down.

Everything is being made digital, pushed as a convenience for the people who slurp it all up, whereas it's just more routes to control and manipulate you - to extract the most valuable resource you can, time. Best part is this is not direct control methods, so you can't even comprehend the thought of pointing fingers at something wrong and a culprit. It's all indirect shit, and people will defend it to the death because it will mean defending their personal convenience. We're playing Brave New World here.

There's also the "universal" side of it. Not all ID's from country to country look the same. Your bouncer may recognise an ID from the UK at a glance, but in Europe (and that hasn't changed yet, despite brexit) lots of people travel to different capital cities and go out. Is the bouncer familiar with dozens of different ID's from different countries? I had a thing like that once, and I spent 10 minutes at the door waiting for the guy to realise I wasn't underage, just because he wasn't familiar with that type of Identity card. What I don't like about it is the database side and sharing among businesses. Casinos are equiped for that and closely watched, but why would I allow a random bar to store my ID on a database?I'm not going to freak out shouting that they want the gvt to chip me, sure, but those id's still offer data that can be used commercially (country of origin, adress, age, gender leads to info about target audience, outreach, commercial prospects), and that's something I don't want to be part of.

Well it shows that the guy is too busy with business and had no time to research other peoples biography. Point is not knowing them is actually a positive factor if you will look at it at another perspective. This is not some kind of AGT contest where you go there to sing or dance. The guy went in and presented his business, all he knows is they got the money that he needs and theres nothing wrong if he doesnt know their backgrounds.

"As the dragons race for the door - without realizing that they've been quite tightly sealed - perhaps some of them wonder if they should've made fun of a humble inventor who is also quite handy with a screwdriver." Peter: Quick, try the other side. "And who am I? I am merely an evil A.I. that the dragons have once called "uninvestable" - but one that, as you can see, did quite alright on the market." Dragons: I'll invest, I'll invest! "Tensions rise high as the dragons try attempt to outbid each other on the contestant's amazing offer of the rest of their lives. In comes Touka Solomon with the unexpected move of trying to wedge his own body between the door and the wall hoping to open them. While Sara and Theo bring out the power tools." Richard was such a small man. He got defensive when asked what he would bring in exchange for 50%. A totally fair question, and he was both agitated and uneasy in answering it. Also, his finger around his face, the fidgeting, the body weight shifting, at that moment, all showed his nervousness. He would be a lousy poker player.

I love the Dragons, but Richard saw something in the idea that a lot of the dragons and myself didn't. The demo just looked a bit rickity but the idea certainly wasn't with the huge payday this entrepreneur came across.

I've seen similar a thing in a pub I used to go to, only the one place though. You have to give them your ID to scan or they won't let you in.
@ZygimantasA4 жыл бұрын
This would be a problem today because of GDPR and other data protection laws. If you kick someone out of the pub, just for the sake of it let's say and then enter that person's details in the data base and defame them all over the place, you could be in huge problem.

Dragons are usually pretty skeptical to invest in an entrepreneur when the product is non-original and not under complete control. Too easy to bypass the guy and go direct to the Israelii developer to make a deal, when the only thing in the way is a poorly or expensive to defend regional distribution contract.

It’s got nothing to do with that; it’s because the idea is in no way unique, or possible to protect.
