I will still forever be confused why they didn’t just make the balls the first two episodes. Like, YOU ALREADY MADE TWO BALLS, ONE FOR EACH GROUP, WHY NOT JUST MAKE IT THE PREMIER? And on top of that, I feel like a talent show would relatively easy to do with 14 people at once, and it would’ve made each of the first 3 episodes more palatable.

I guess it's for two reasons In the drag race format, they usually leave more time to meet the queens than in the challenge, so getting to know each other and creating storylines is more difficult. Along with the fact that they wanted to make the "pair of balls" joke

How I think that would’ve turned out… Animal Print (Premiere One) Win- Willow High- Alyssa Safe- Bosco, Kornbread Low- Kerri BTM- June vs Orion Red, White, Blue (Premiere Two) Win- Angeria High- Jorgeous Safe- Daya, Deja Low- Camden BTM- Maddy vs Jasmine Personally, I’d have either Deja or Daya in the high spot, but I wrote it out like that considering Jorgeous was declared high in the real life scenario.

So regarding Kerri in Snatch Game: she actually confirmed she would’ve done Mariah Carey for it. And as we saw with both Pangina Heals and KIARA, that’s like a kiss-of-death character to play. She’s probably up there with Beyonce, Whitney Houston, and Lady GaGa for pop stars you can forget about playing on Snatch Game. And I don’t see Kerri doing much better, so I do think she would’ve been in the bottom for it.

None of them had a good finale runway, none of them did good in the finale lipsync, but Ella did the best in the performance kittys lyrics were messy and Krystal were good but it was a basic I’m fierce and I want the crown lyrics, based on the finale alone none of them deserved to win, but based on the entire season Ella killed it, even kitty would have been more justified than Krystal, her only deserved win was ep 1 ( even then I still think Charity should have won ) but she was okay to mediocre to awful in the rest of the episodes, can kyrstal stans just acknowledge Ru never crowns the same archetype of queen in a row so she wanted a skinny young queen to win no matter how good or bad she did, and just be happy Ella got robbed so your fav could win, like personally Gigi was robbed but I’m so happy Jaida won, or Monique & Manilla were robbed but I’m happy monet won, or Monique was robbed but I’m happy Blu won, like it’s not that hard

I think the issue is that you can't actually tell that they aren't manipulating it behind the scenes. You'd have to have quite prominent identifiers, which they tried to do with the signatures, and make sure the audience is well aware that there's not been any tricks pulled.

@@LunaBeth97 yeah, that was kinda annoying. in the episode they introduced the cocolatebar twist, Ru was constantly reminding the queens to sign it, yet in the end, it didn't matter. I think if they did a side-by-side shot of the queen showing the signed candybar to the camera in the workroom when they chose it and then again on the stage, clearly showing the signature, it would at least taken away of the riggory-feeling it all had. and, if they still wanted to rig things, they still could easily change the paper wrapper

It would have been a more fair and shorter season but I feel that we would've lost the most iconic moments of the season that live rent free in my mind now: - Daya Betty's meltdown over Jorgeous winning the Design challenge wearing "the sexiest napkin ever". - The fight in Untucked between Maddy and Jasmine just before their lipsync. - The whole Dayton Winds but specially Lady Camden opening the doors screaming "MaaaXiiiiiimE" and her Freddy Mecury Ruveal. - The whole Lipsync smackdown but specially THAT moment between Camden and Bosco. - Bosco fighting to death for Saltine's role in the Rusical because she was about to be eliminated the previous episode. - Jorgeous reading Bosco for beign in the bottom "3 times in 1 episode" So in this season I'm not totally mad with the riggory and non-elimination episodes, I think they made a more iconic season.

I think the chocolate would have been good for the Kerri vs Alyssa lipsync. Obviously the show didn't care about alyssa hunter at all, but lets pretend they did. They then have Alyssa rightfully winning that lipsync and Kerri losing, but then they give Kerri the golden chocolate bar. It also puts the gold bar before like 4 weeks of no one going home so it feels "better" I suppose.

The button you’re talking about reminds me of in project runway a long time ago they had Tim Gun have like a special save that he could use once during the season if he disagreed with the judges decision to send someone home and I remember enjoying that because it felt earned (because they impressed Tim and he wanted to see more from them) unlike the chocolate bar which was literally just gasilighting the audience into believing it was random when it was quite clearly saved for a mid to late season fan fave when they end up in the bottom

The chocolate twist would have been great if they did it in the middle, everyone opened theirs at the same time, and it worked like the key twist in dragula: The queen with the golden ticket can either save themselves or send someone to the bottom two that episode. That would take the riggory out of it and spice things up.

The problem with you showing that Orion story stays in episode 1 is that there is literally no point to the lip sync in episode 2, because we know no one is going home even though the queens dont, which just removes any tension created whatsoever.

What I think should have been a nice twist is that we get a AS6 moment in the third episode, where the queens get to watch a lipsync between Daya and Orion and who wins get to stay in the competition (Daya stays of course and the last two episodes actually count this time). To not ruin the season trajectory to much, we could get an extra episode (caused by Kornbread getting injured), meaning that Daytona is back

To be fair, season 12 did something similar with the top two lip syncs for each premiere. Even though by the second episode, we as viewers knew there wasn’t gonna be a bottom 2, it was still enjoyable enough to watch. Same with season 13, where no one went home on episodes 2/3. The problem with the chocolate bar twist was also that they had like three other non elimination episodes plus that as the last one. So the novelty of "saving" a queen wore off cause we saw it happen so many times already.

A change I'd like to make is make the split premiere episodes the design challenge from Episode 3, so it's no longer a ball and we don't have 42 looks, giving us time to see the queens interact, and then now in Episode 3 we replace the ball with the talent show since it needs less time setting up before the challenge takes place.

Idk, I preferred Daya to Bosco in Snatch game. But for the girl groups challenge, I’m sorry, but I just can’t agree with putting Jorgeous over Camden. Yes something was off about Camden, but she choreographed her group, I thought Jorgeous’s runway was just as basic, if not more, than Cam’s, and Camden had better vocals. Sue me, but there’s no way in my mind that Jorgeous did better that episode.

I think rigged means they do what they want but make us think it was “random” or that it was how the queen actually performed. The veto button cant be rigged because it would literally be like “okay you did bad but we dont want you to go” and its more transparent than lying to us

I like how this season plays out a lot more than the actual timeline. Jorgeous being in the bottom in almost every episode she was in is exactly how it should’ve gone had it been fair, she’s just not good at Drag Race.

I think it would be really interesting if they actually allowed the chocolate bar to be random and depending on who got it, they could work on the story from there. Like if someone who got it and was flopping then received the golden bar, it could create a lot of tension between the cast + an underdog storyline for the queen. Also if one of the top 5 queens had it then they could move onto the final 3 to lipsync for the crown or something. Obviously very rough ideas, but I think someone like that might be good

A veto button is a freakin FABULOUS idea! I would love to see that utilized. But it's use should be limited - perhaps 1 per season? Per judge? Not counting Ru, and the guest judge, that's 3 saves a season. You can't do too many more than that or it would totally screw with the producers storylines. (Not that they haven't done it to themselves numerous times throughout the years - as your channel's existence and popularity proves. lol) It would also lose it's excitement if it happened too many times. I'm wondering if even 3 would be too many? Hmmm........🤔

My largest problem is probably the number of non elimination episodes and the the number in the finale 5 is way to many 3 is good along with the ratio of queens of colour/ other ethnic background/ culture bc having only 1 queen of colour out of the top 5 is crazy to me and please bring back more design challenges and the makeover challenge

The only thing I really disagree with is Deja winning the DragCon challenge. I thought it was a very solid performance, and I loved that runway, but on one hand I do think Bosco was funnier and I don't think she let down her groupmates (unlike Ginger in as6. Jasmine and jorgeous were on the same page of the others but they just weren't funny enough and they struggled throughout the episode, while Jan and Pandora struggling to me was more related to how ginger moderated). On the other hand, Willow was just too damn funny and she kinda overshadowed Deja to me. Ah, I also disagree with the Bosco and Jasmine lipsync because we could solve all the question marks about the lipsync making them lipsync to Swept Away (which I think was pretty on point with the episode as well). And I don't wanna live in a world without that lipsync!

I think the season length shouldnt really considered part of the riggory because WOW can't really so much if they get an extended season order, changing the final 5 double shantay makes sense but imo some riggory (number of episodes) cant really changed

I dont think Angeria would beat Bosco so easily in the top 5 lipsync. I loooove Angeria, but honestly, I dont think she is a great lipsyncer, I think she is just ok, like Bosco. They are sure not bad, but they're ok. And I love the season how it went, even with the riggory! hhahahaha But I do agree with all your high placements and wins! And also the lows and the bottoms :) Love your videos!

Tbh my only changes are: Premiere: Top 2 LS for the win from each,KB vs Willow to Water Me for the first, and Camden vs Angeria to Falling for the second (that LS would eat). Super Teasers: Judged in teams imo, Maddy team is on the lead and Angie wins, makes for a perfect storyline considering Maddy came out from the bottom, + the other team had more weaker members compared to Maddy (Kerri, Kornbread and Jorge) Glam Prime: Jasmine (or Jorge) btm 2 w Kerri, Maddy at least out of all of them had a clear concept (southern wife) and had a little effort. S.G: Kerri probs wouldn't be in the bottom imo, I feel she'd pull some kind of an Alyssa Edwards on as2 Moulin Ru: Deja switch with Angeria,Deja's performance was kinda better than Angie during the Rusical, Angie felt a little stiff as her role in Moulin Ru. Anyways, stunning video, as usual. Drag Detective working harder than RuPaul flying through all English-speaking countries this year to film the next 23 seasons.

Okay this Deja and Daya justice, I live! But I would have kept Daytona Wind because the challenge was too good. I’d accept the riggery of “no bottoms tonight!” because I wouldn’t want Deja and Angie to lip sync… so we’d do a top 2 lip sync of Camden vs Bosco/Daya (take your pick idc) with Camden getting the win Also, giving Willow 2 wins makes her a more justified winner in my mind! The golden ticket reveal was not as impactful because there were so many non-elimination episodes. If truly every week one queen went home, having one week where someone is saved would be interesting, especially because we don´t know when to expect it ("it´s up to drag gods"). but by the point we get to the chocolate bar reveal everyone was so sick of no one going home that the general thought process was "ugh no one going home again".... (only my opinion of course)

I wouldn’t put Bosco in the bottom for the rumix due to the fact that the worst things about her performance were not her fault (voice mixing was horrendous and made her verse what it was, her drawn design way better than what she was given, finale gown I liked, I’d put it 2nd/3rd) whereas disconnects and choreo mess-ups can be attributed to the person but that’s my opinion :) Also would give Alyssa the bone in Super Tease for having a different first language and put Orion in the bottom with Alyssa as low or just let the PR queens go on ES instead where they can’t use that as an excuse
