This day was always going to come. It is CRAZY how many sex offenders were freely walking around these Nickelodeon sets because they were friends with Dan and he invited them to work on his shows. I feel like even now, there is STILL so much to uncover, but Drake Bell speaking out and this documentary is a huge step. Hearing from other child actors about how this guy manipulated them and was constantly partying with TEENAGERS? There were levels to this insanity and I think that parents need to start being named and shamed too because a lot of them were complicit in allowing this abuse to happen so that they could bank off their kids

It's so sad to know this but it's not surprising. Any form of entertainment that's targeted toward children will typically have predators + offenders involved. It goes back to the early years of Hollywood (ex: MGM with Shirley Temple). It's so heartbreaking to know that this industry would rather protect abusers than protect the kids. Modeling industries…movie/television industries…even social media platforms.

With Drake Bell's case he accidentally served alcohol to a minor at an event because she used a fake ID. He then began exchanging messages with her, but cut off communication when he found out her age. All eyewitnesses said he never did anything with the girl, and they never actually met in person. Should also be noted that the girl had a history of lying, her family admitted this. Even the judge called her out for lying and making baseless accusations that had nothing to do with the case.

When it comes to allegations of childhood sexual abuse, many people are so quick to jump on the hate train without doing their proper research into the facts of the case. Many people immediately assume that the accused the guilty - especially if the accused happens to be a famous male. When it comes to the general public, they live with the mindset of "guilty until proven innocent".

I feel like it's quite rare in some cases for child stars to succeed in the entertainment industry. It can depend on which studio you're working for, management, and personal endeavors + issues (outside of the industry). I noticed that it seems harder for Nickelodeon and Disney stars to continue working in the industry. Sometimes, bigger companies don't take them seriously. I think this was the case with Zendaya for a while. She wanted to branch out - moving away from her Disney "Shake It Up" image.

I would agree with you - if it would be true! Given, that the girl lied about Bell. Bell is not registered as a sex offender. He had no idea about her age when texting her. When he broke the contact up, it was too late. This is what I hate about the media (including on KZbin), when they get the details so wrong here. Bell has his issues, that he has to work on. But a lot of things are being confused about him all around. He didn't sexually assault any girls, or minors. Unfortunately, that isn't communicated by those video makers clear enough. Or even twisted. So get the story right, my guys. He didn't do what the creep Schneider did to his colleagues. Or what that other scumbag did to him as a child...

His story reminded me of what Todd Bridges went through as a child. If we're going to expose child acting, we did expose child musicians next with Michael Jackson being a prominent example of that as I watched plenty of interviews over the past couple of days, and all the interviews I've seen felt like an interrogation than having empathy for the man.

I feel like calling Drake Bell an abuser is a bit unfair when he...didn't abuse anyone? He backed off the moment he realized she wasn't 18. What more was he suppose to do? He can't un-offer the drink he gave her or w/e it was that got the "endangering a minor" charge. It feels weird to always put the onus on the adult even when they're literally being deceived. I don't mean he's blameless, it just seems excessive to imply he's continuing the "cycle of abuse" when we know he, as like a 13 year old, was sexually assaulted and all he did for his crime was give what he thought was an 18 year old an alcoholic drink.

I recently looked into the drake situation again and it turns out he didn’t plead guilty to SA charges. The case wasn’t about SA and he only pleaded guilty to the conversation over messages which actually didn’t contain all the wild material that was claimed to be in there after all and Digital Forensics confirmed this. Even the judge made it clear that the case had nothing to do with SA or other claims popping up, as all that was new information that haven’t heard of and wasn’t involved. He pleaded guilty to that because he was told by his attorney that there were three options with one of them allowing him to be able to stay home with his wife and son with the probation and community service if he took that deal. Obviously he took it, and that’s what he pleaded to. The girl created a fake account, fooled around with drake, he later figured she wasn’t who she said and tried cutting ties with her. Later the girl was harassing his wife and then started making the accusations, which even in court, witnesses siding with the accuser had debunked a lot of what she was saying as her story kept changing and went in different directions. One extra thing I’ll mention is that I heard of him getting charged with serving alcohol to a minor which was followed up with the fact that it happened at an event in a bar and she had a fake ID so Drake was unaware of that.

Nobody ever said this wasn’t going to be one of the most difficult post I ever had to write. Drake Bell, one of the beloved stars of The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, and Superhero Movie explains in more detail about the sexual abuse he suffered from a dialogue coach named Brian Peck. This incident occurred back in 2001 when Drake was 15 years old. According to Drake, Brian manipulated him to believe that Drake’s dad was interfering with his success. This gave more time for Brian to spend with Drake. Brian even wanted to play Drake’s stepfather Walter Nichols on Drake and Josh before Drake spoke up to his mom about what Brian did to him and Drake’s mom made sure Brian was arrested. As an 11 year-old kid, I loved watching The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, and Zoey 101, I was so naïve and inexperienced, it never occurred to me that Drake was suffering mentally and emotionally while he was starring in a show that made me laugh. This tragic story is one of the reasons why my family is disappointed that I’m getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Film. The devil knows where to hide around every corner. It doesn’t matter how glamorous that location can look like. The reality here is that I have to trust the lord, I shouldn’t depend on just what I know. I have to think what he wants for me as I take my next step and he will help me go the right way. Ever since I was 13 years old, I felt envious when I saw young teens on Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and other movies. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I use a posture control Kaye walker and a Rovi x3 power wheelchair for mobility. I figured having a small career on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel could help improve my social practice and inclusion. My high school refused to make accommodations for me to take acting classes. Now I understand why my mom and the majority of my family was so hesitant about paying for my classes and my headshots. I'm 29 years old. I’m currently finishing up my Bachelor’s Degree in Film at Bridgewater State University by this Christmas. If I was 13 again, I would sign with Disney Channel over Nickelodeon. I wonder if Dan Schneider will be arrested for his crimes as more details of Drake Bell’s time on Nickelodeon keeps appearing in the news this week? I wonder if the public will force Nickelodeon and Disney Channel to make some serious changes to keep their kids safe? I wonder if this news will change America’s perception of what it means to be a child star? Only God knows. I wish Drake Bell the best in the future.

My dude - good video. But please, I beg (all of you): Get the information about Drake Bell right ffs! He's not registered as a sex offender! He didn't sexually assault anybody. No one. No girls, no minors. The girl was in Drake Bell’s case even proven lying by court of law. He has his issues that are serious. But none of them have anything to do with pedophilia, like it's the case with Dan Schneider. So stop trying to connect these things with one another, or to compare it.

@@DABA2024 HE DIDN'T KNOW HER AGE, YOU MUPPET! She stalked him. And when he found out about her age, he cut the contact with her off. All proven by court. While she was proven to lie about it. Also her parents, and even her friend confirmed that she wasn't trustable. Bell Was NOT charged for any sexual crime. So get your "facts" right next time, before you wanna sound smart. You people often just read the headlines.

It's not really related to this video and, although I am happy Bell is speaking out, I want people to consider something. Both Armie Hammer and Drake Bell have been labeled as sex offenders online when in fact, they didn't really physically do anything to be labeled as such. Drake flirted with an underaged fan through text messages, however, the moment he found out the individual's age, he cut off contact. She then began stalking him and accused him in court of things that there was no evidence of. Those very serious accusations were dismissed but he ended up being charged for the explicit texts. As for Armie Hammer, who has been labeled a cannibal, was in a physical relationship with a women while already married to another. Hammer also sent kinky text messages where he would say some messed up things such as "I am going to eat you", I am going to drink your blood" "I want you to call me master", and lastly, " You belong to me". Although they can be seen as disturbing to some, at the end of the day, they've officially been dismissed in court as sexual fantasies where nothing of the sort happened. Both these incidents appear to have been carefully orchestrated by some very vindictive people and, although I don't believe that both Bell and Hammer are angels, I simply don't believe they committed the crimes they've been accused of. Same situation as actor Vic Mignonia, both Bell and Hammer have received the EDP445, Harvey Weinstein, and Jeffrey Epstein treatment.

Honest needs to make a redaction video, because Drake Bell did nothing wrong! He accidentally served a minor alcohol at an event (the girl had a fake ID), and then he began texting her but stopped as soon as he found out her real age. If Honest has any integrity (if her were, in fact, "honest"), he would correct this. Drake Bell has been dragged through the mud long enough.

It is interesting to me to see people victim blaming Drake Bell’s victim & doing the exact same thing that Brian Peck’s defenders did to Drake in court. Saying shit like “I’ve known him all my life & he would never do that” is pathetic. Sometimes people who are abused often end up becoming abusers. Drake did not even deny the allegations, what I don’t like is that he used this documentary as a DARVO campaign against his accuser. We can acknowledge that Drake Bell is a victim of abuse & that he is an abuser & needs to be held accountable for that. He literally fled to Mexico to escape accountability. Child endangerment also literally can fall under SA, so I don’t know why y’all are being so obtuse & dense about it.
