Ya know, Madonna was never shy to admit she didn't have the best voice, but she worked to expand the hell out of it. Sure, it was for the Evita film in the mid-to-late 90's after she was already a super star and she needed more range for that project she worked hard to get, but like - what is stopping J-Lo from doing that? Get that same vocal coach and work it out. Katy Perry too did not have the best voice, but clearly worked on, as her stardom grew, she improved. Now, are any of these people Whitney? No - but like, no one is Whitney. But the difference, of course, is that Katy and Madonna especially, had something more to grab onto, so a merely good voice was fine, but also, they worked to noticeably improve. Again, why is J-Lo above this? Is she really that clueless? I guess Tone-Deaf is the proper word, and it works on many levels for her. That motown story is.... yikes.

What I got from the documentary is that JLo just takes herself WAY too seriously, and it backfired. It's only caused people to re-examine her career, instead adding anything new to it. And I get that she's an artist, and felt driven to tell this story about love in her life, but I also think she's just out of touch with reality to think that it's some groundbreaking film.

She is lucky to have had the musical success thus far..People forget She had a pretty promising movie career very early on before the crappy rom-coms that ruined that lane..
@edselgreaves65037 ай бұрын
She didn't really have musical success. Her first two albums sold well, but the third album This Is Me Then had abysmal sales compared to Britney, Avril, Evanescence, etc. so her team tried to rebrand by calling the fourth album Rebirth. If that had sold well, things would be different but it sold less than This Is Me Then because people realized she is just a singles artist, not an album artist. Her sales collapsed, and she went from releasing an album every year to releasing an album every decade, until now not even releasing an album but just dropping quick lil singles here and there to drum up interest. Millennials caught on to the fact that she doesn't really care about quality very early on.

If JLo was relatable, it would have been evident in her everyday life all along. When I read about how JLo wouldn’t acknowledge the Flight Attendant that asked her if she would like a beverage, and addressed her personal assistant sitting right beside her instead, well, that action speaks volumes! If one feels they are too busy, famous, important, rich, etc, to answer a “civilian person” in REAL TIME y’all, then that person’s not down to earth or relatable; that person has their head up in the clouds and has long forgot their basic roots. In summation, it is possible to be Uber rich and remain down to earth, humble, and relatable. Johnny Depp is one such person. His actions prove that he’s genuine. That’s why his worldwide fan base loves him. ❤
