Core fans? Man, if drake released a whole album like this we all know it won't do the numbers. Drake wants to provide an album that caters to a varied of people. I had people being upset that he didn't make enough songs like "I'm sexy". He wants to break records and I think, he wants to do different things.

I found my gripe with Drake. When he giving bars, it's kind of dry/ boring to listen to. When he's giving us a fun flow/ delivery, the lyricism suffers. The last track was the only one that really caught my attention and even that dissipated by the 2nd minute. The songs were a chore for me to get through, as per usual

I’m glad the feedback to FATD inspired him to go into the chamber. I’m sure he hears all the positive feedback this time around. Side note: I hope Cole and Drake teaming up twice this year + the tour will poke Kendrick in the side to “come out and play!” Great release overall

Here are my thoughts: First three songs are great. The Alchemist must have thought he was being pranked and sent a terrible beat on purpose 😂 and I love Uncle Al. Last two songs definitely fell flat. Boring Cole verse, boring Drake verse on Evil Ways. And y’all know that last song horrible. But those first three songs tho!! That was quality. Those three songs + 8 AM in Charlotte showed Drake still has a little left in his bag. Although, Drake hasn’t been the same since IYRTITL and coincidentally he got exposed for ghost writing so it’s nice to finally get some good rap songs from Drake again. Blows my mind how people don’t realise he tries to please everyone of his fans.. rich baby daddy is an awful song. That shit was a smash hit & loved by his female audience. 8am in Charlotte is loved by old heads & rap fans , with females not messing with it. if he did an album of just this half his audience aren’t messing with it. He does an album full of R&B / singing half his audience won’t mess with it. Which is fine. But y’all need to realise why he’s doing it all.

Telling Drake how to rap and what to rap about and what you should limit putting out is wild. That man is the most talented hip hop artist ever and he knows what he’s doing.

I believe Drake is strategic. He likes to put out songs that will get radio play or Instagram captions or things that easy to bump to on a repeated basis

To answer the streaming question: It does count towards the original album, since it's considered a deluxe, it's the new thing, even Kendrick, he went back and added the heart pt 5 to the album and it helps with streaming numbers etc.
