One of the top talents of his generation. Drake is a former child-star turned pop-star who raps, has enormous commercial success, and is constantly in the tabloids for his dating exploits. Also Canadian. These are my opinions post-beef: Kendrick is a revered rapper who takes his craft seriously and doesn’t pursue the spotlight. One of the top talents of his generation. 100%. But Drake was actually really good along time ago. Before he got extremely famous. He was actually know for his writing and written pieces for others in rap and RNB, then he went pop and got artist such as The Weekend and PartyNextDoor to writer his music. And a few others. Which isn’t that big of a deal because that music he was releasing wasn’t rap. It was pop. And it’s normal to have people writing your verses in a song like “Just hold on we’re going home”. But then he started rapping again and changed his subject matter from relatable things to more “street” music. His entire sound in rap changed and it was obvious that someone was writing his raps, because when he wasn’t famous and not signed, his music sounded personal and distinct. Now it sounds like it’s written by someone else. And a lot of it is. And having someone write you’re verses in rap is a big no no unless you are a producer. Someone can write a chorus. Or provide a cadence at most. But writing is off limits

@colinspencely2591 To be fair, Drake lived in an upper-class neighborhood because his mother moved him to an upper-class neighborhood so he could attend a better school. Parents do that in Toronto all the time. As I said before, I'm bored of Drake, but as his senior (50+), at least I know a Drake song. Can't say the same of Kendrick. These diva battles get us nowhere . The only people who profit are music moguls. You forgot one of the biggest things… is that Kendrick really took a major shot at Drake’s ego… telling him he’s not for the culture. He took shots at his identity… telling him basically “how many more of these antics before you feel like you’re black enough?” Calling him a colonizer. He literally ripped Drake’s ego and identity to shreds… so much to the point that we are literally seeing Drake going through an identity crisis right before our very eyes in real time. Drake has always been extremely arrogant and egotistic… but Kendrick came along and really humbled tf out of this man. That’s why we say Drake lost… because Kendrick has him questioning himself… who he is and where he stands in this culture. We witnessed another Eminem and MGK moment in hip hop. Eminem made MGK stop rapping completely and that man went to a whole different genre of music all together. Drake’s going in the same direction. Drake hasn’t really dropped too many rap songs since… and actually started dropping and featuring on a bunch of pop songs since the release of ‘Not Like Us’. Almost every song was pop with the exception of that song he did with Sexy Red… literally confirming and solidifying the accusations that Kendrick brought against him saying that he wasn’t for the culture and that he only cared about the numbers and the money. I think that’s when we started to see Drake’s demise in this beef. Drake went low… and Kendrick took it to HELL!

Im so confused as to why that's a bad thing. Nick Cannon and Boosie are not looked at twice or commended for making babies. I didn't keep track of the battle but it seems bias that Drake was criticized for things that give others credit. Having many albums use to be the prerequisite for Champ but here he describes it as Emotions to be laughed at. Now I'll Google who thinks Drake won because this seems biased.
@brandi54484 ай бұрын
@drtroyturner7464 People definitely get on Nick Cannon about all those fatherless babies he's creating. No man can properly parent that many kids with that many women. That aside the issue with Drake is that he denies and hides his kid(s). Hope that helps 🤦🏾♀️

Josh is comedy gold. Even when I have no information on the topic whatsoever, he still makes it funny. Informative and funny.
