You know i thought the same I stepped down as an Officer and Raid Lead. I have toons still in the guild and they literally dont raid anymore, it's quite sad actually. Way happier just being a dps or healer in my new guild and got my AOTC without me having to tell people what they are doing wrong, much better really. Glad I took your advice Preach on finding the right guild at least for raiding, the other will always have my peeps though.

my comment is like this : over the years i have seen it way to many times when a guild that is not a hardmode guild tries to force themselves into hardmodes but only part of guild really wants it and 2nd part would be perfecly happy to just log in clear hc and then go back to casual leveling alts etc . the ones who really hurt the guild in here were people forcing their hardmode ideals on others. instead just leaving and making their own hardmode guild with hardmode attitude.

That's why you don't raid with "normal" or "heroic" guilds. They're doing trivial content, gear doesn't matter, so they'll just be toxic idiots. If you want to clear heroic and gear up, join a mythic guild as a casual and just do heroic with them.

im having a hard time finding a guild it's kinda weird because i play ele shaman or holy paladin, i do good in LFR but i have not done any real raiding this expansion because i can't find a team that is willing to raid at my times, like after 8pm... but it's okay i just got hit up about a possible new job offer that would send me across the country so finding a guild right now may have to take a back seat.

my group of friends had a separate discord while we were in a guild, and would disappear to it after guild raids. (this drama was not us though) and there was certainly plenty of shit talking. but we mostly had it as a skype replacement (we used to just have a mass skype call after raids). so i feel ours was a little different, as we were mostly friends from before joining said guild.

I think I heard someone make a good point against the 2 hour loot trading window in classic. If that goes through, then certain players will likely roll need on some item, in order to give it to a friend in case that friend doesn't win the roll himself. I know Blizzard wants it to reduce ticket queues, and therefor operation costs, but it's gonna make ninja looting worse than it was even at the time. Although, if Classic is like WoW was in the good old days, it'll just mean two shitheads getting blacklisted instead of one.

IIRC, before forced Personal Loot rolling Need on an item automatically bound it to you, even if it was BoE. All Blizzard needs to do is apply the same logic to loot trading: if you roll Need you can't trade it, because you shouldn't be rolling Need unless you personally need it.

13:00 sounds VERY familiar :D In Wrath, the more hardcore partition of my guild who were most responsible for the guild's success in the previous expansion, therein downing Kil'Jaeden in 2.4.3 (Yes, that is before 3.0 when everyone and their mom did it due to the 30% nerf on everything and Wrath talents. Bow down, plebs!), were told to make our own ingame chat channel called "Blitzkriegraider" because we dared apply the same amount of effort to getting to lvl 80 and downing Sarth and Naxx that EVERYONE previously applied to beating Sunwell, and our conversations about the loot and kills we got in /g irritated the other guildies who were over in Grizzly Hills at level 73 reading quest texts because, yanno, scrubs. And won't you know? The rift that created was never mended and lead to the guild's ultimate demise. From server first to barely filling a 25 man raid group in 3 patches. Somewhat after the release of 3.3 aka Trial Of The Crusader or as we call it The Trial of the Failure aka shittiest raid ever to this very day, marked the end of our reign and my time in retail wow to this day. 10.10.2009, RIP me.

Theres nothing to feel "special" about just by having channel where you having chat with friends with the same goals and mindset about the game, it's pretty natural imo. You can just use guild discord too. Not a big difference i guess.

What defines a "casual" in the end? Are people who go and do Mythic still casuals? Unless it's the attitude going into it, it's like, a casual would only play once a week in a good month. Or at least that is what a casual should be. In regard to the loot part, well this pretty much showcases how the frustration in the Master Loot being abused and the Tier pieces causing these issues caused their removal. And while I think that the removal of the Tier sets was a good move, it's that Blizzard should have executed better on what they gave us to replace the Tiers. And well, only guilds like Method, Exorsus, Limit,etc. could really make good use of Master Loot. I won't lie that I got more gear from Personal Loot than I ever did under a Master Loot system, and so did many others in my guild, but even then ours is not a "casual" guild anyway so loot distribution was something we as players engaged in regardless for the benefit of the guild. So I'm really conflicted about the removal of Master Loot.

ok as far as the rogue story there is literally no reason as a rogue you would ever want the tier shoulders ever because mantle of the master assassin goes in that slot. also assassin is indeed for noobs. sub could have shadowstepped out of harm's way XD memes aside though assassin rogue's 4p bonus amounted to a 14% overall dps increase which was one of the highest that tier so their raid leaders are actually idiots.

I'm progressing on Ghuun at the moment, we do the same tacting for Mother. But a lot faster one. We use 2x3 Cds for the passings - Link, Tide and Hymn for the first - Darkness, Disc Buble and Revival for the 2nd. Mother usually dies in sub 3 minutes because of that. We do not wait for the first set of CDs to come up.

Personal loot is not that difficult. You keep it if you want it, if you don't or think someone else could use it give it to a designated person to roll off during trash. Simple.

A +10 rewards 370 gear at best if I remember correctly... If you did enough heroic and +10s during that time, you probably don't need that gear anymore.... at least I don't...

+10 is base 370 at end of dungeon and a base 380 in weekly chest (both with a chance to wf/tf) with azerite pieces from a +10 being 385. this is on par with mythic uldir.

I'm 4/8 mythic and regularly parse grey as healer ama btw: we use this strategy. popping 2 different disc barriers, 4 darknesses, aura mastery and personals, you easily get through. Sit for 2 minutes in the second room, pass into third, bloodlust down. Noob-proof.

sometimes it just doesnt drop. no mmatter what you do. i didnt get my kingaroth trinket for 6 weeks, in LFR normal or hc coins on every one of em. you cant beat the RNG.

Can't say I've ever had that trouble. Putting together a full 4p heroic/mythic set, sure, but just getting anything to activate the set bonus? I must have disenchanted enough to gear a whole raid, and I'm not particularly lucky

Sometimes stuff just refuses to drop. I spent 3 weeks with 340 weapons on my warrior while killing mythrax n+hc and taloc n+hc+m+coin each week plus running m+ with 2 pallys who set their loot spec to ret to raise the chances of weapon drops and I did get plenty of loot but not a single weapon.
