1985/1986 was my senior year of high school in the Los Angeles suburbs and I used to listen to this song on radio station KROQ The Rock of the 80s. Dramarama is my favorite band of all time, and their Anything, Anything is still my favorite song of all time, though I feel for the pain John Easdale was going through when he wrote it. After hearing it on the radio a few times I hit up Tower Record for a copy of Cinéma Vérité on cassette. That was back when we actually had to buy physical copies of our music, kids. Years later I was working at as newspaper photographer and got sent on assignment to photograph Dramarama in concert at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I shot a lot of concerts at that venue over the years, and I can still hear Dramarama rocking in my memories louder than any other band I covered. Chuck Berry playing Johnny B. Goode live was a close second. Thank you, John, for turning your pain into something beautiful that we all could enjoy. I hope knowing the joy you gave to millions with this song in some way gave you comfort through a very difficult time in your life.

That's a cult classic in my opinion. But you're correct I don't consider it in the horror genre. I'd classify that as a thriller/action movie. But that movie did have an awesome soundtrack. Look, I know thriller and horror can be subjective depending on the person so I wouldn't knock someone else if they'd classify The Wraith as such.

Pure nostalgia for anyone who grew up as a teenager in LA during the 80's. I remember being at many a dance club and when this song was played everyone went absolutely nuts. The dead even danced. KROQ with Richard Blade, Jed the Fish, the Swedish Eagle and Rodney cranking out the tunes - the 80's graced us with some of the greatest music and bands in music history. LA in the 80's had a vast network of clubs where thousands of teens and 20 somethings would converge to meet and get their groove on. Who couldn't forget Marilyn's, Scream, Helter Skelter, Peanuts, Odyssey, Florentine Gardens, the Palace, Hot Traxx in Van Nuys, Club 21, 321 Club, Madame Wongs and all the others I'm forgetting? We didn't need no stinkin' internet.

This is a band that never got it's complete due. Dramarama always seemed to be on the cusp of stardom, but they could never quite get over the hump (The Psychedelic Furs are another band in that category - great band that never quite got huge). This is one of Dramarama's most brilliant songs - the anger and urgency in the singer's voice are mirrored by the nagging, paranoid, two-note guitar riff. Just sheer rock brilliance. Check out "Last Cigarette" too - another great Dramarama song.

Lol grew up with lots of great night bands in NJ these guys the casualties Thursday . These guys played a late night show in the summer of 2004 or so with a correlation of big names in the business, in a town called Winfield Park NJ. It's all about who you Know in life.
