Thank you for taking care of me and loving me, and helping me become the man I am today. I miss you dearly. It hurts. It’ll always hurt. It’s not my first lost but definitely one of the more potent ones. I swear I never meant for this, I never meant. Don’t look at me that way, It was an honest mistake. Don’t look at me that way. It was an honest mistake, An honest mistake. I’ll never forgive myself for not quelling our squabbles, before you died. You kept asking to spend more time together because you thought you were sick. I kept denying it and pushing it off, and now it’s too late. I love you and I’m so sorry for basically abandoning you in your last weeks. I’m sorry.

It's been 14 years and I still can't ever bring myself to "change the station" whenever it comes on.

That doesn’t sound very complimentary: “I really want to change the station, but I can’t bring myself to do it.”

This song still gets stuck in my head whenever I hear the phrase, "it was an honest mistake". (Which is exactly why I am listening to it again.)

Was in the ninth grade at the time, would've been fifteen. I remember getting their self-titled album one month after they released in America. Never heard of them, but found it to be an excellent album. I wouldn't put it on my top favorite, but it's a fine solid album none-the-less. Ah, good times and fun music.

A Rube Goldberg machine. The one portrayed here is an impossible one though as there are a lot of chain reactions that rely on sheer luck instead of precise control (Rube Goldberg machine requires carefully crafted and precise reactions). Though perhaps that was a point in the video.

Feels like the 2000s post-punk/nu wave era was far too short-lived. Saw these guys 4 times in concert. Think this was the last time I crushed hard on a lead singer. Sam Endicott was SEX. Great music, underrated band.
