Man, Rune just doesn't hit with any aggression or intensity until all his momentum is gone. Just punting the ball weakly back up the big middle isn't going to cut it, then trying to go big when you have no other choice is baffling. Good for Tiafoe to actually take advantage of this play style, Rune looks like he plays not to lose instead of playing to win.

@kiki131219842 ай бұрын
I agree. It's obvious that he chose very wrong strategy at 5-3 in the 3rd set, because he just kept the ball going, expecting Tiafoe to make mistakes. But that obviously backfired... you just can't win matches like that, cuz your opponents will get any opportunity to strike back and win.

What impressed my with Holger is his attitude development. Very professional stuff !! watch for 2025 Rune will be there for sure. He is slowly progressing. Tiafoe vs Sinner in the finals. big foe has gotten a lot of hate recently from some people because of his comments towards other players, but most pros speak very highly of him on and off the court. imo his story is super compelling and he plays with a ton of passion. i’m a holger fan but still happy to see tiafoe making it through. his backhand is known to be one of the worst so it definitely must feel good that it excelled in the tiebreak. he was going toe to toe with holger off that wing, who has one of the best backhands on tour and is lethal in tiebreaks. seriously impressive stuff, especially considering he was down a break and also saved match points. couldn’t have asked for two more deserving cincy finalists, i’m satisfied with either of them winning tomorrow. i just hope to see both staying healthy

t has always both puzzled and annoyed me that we always first see the player who won the point. This happens almost 100% of the time when tennis matches are broadcast.
