What would you do if 2/3 of the clips you filmed have ZERO audio?

I'd probably skip that week's video as I am a lazy bugger 😂
@tim.poirier5 ай бұрын
@@photoflooddays I certainly considered that option, no guarantee what I will do if/when this happens again 😂

First off, I'd go inside and record the VO there, without the background shimes and then just overlay a somewhat calm vsx that fits the surroundings (low volume) and continue the video as you've done but probably show more of the actual footage
@tim.poirier4 ай бұрын
@@jimmywestphoto fair enough, I wanted to share more footage but lots of it was me talking to the camera in some capacity that was weird without audio. Thanks for the advice.

Love this video. I am new to photography and youtube seems to be flooded with people making videos on how to edit these great photos (those types of videos are obviously good too) but I have been looking for people to explain their thought process behind actually setting up and capturing the shots which is what you've done really well. The photos look great. Will definitely check out your other videos.

Thanks David I appreciate it! Most of my other videos are entirely "on location" explaining my thoughts, I hope you enjoy them. 😃

Very interesting video and great photos. I have also had variouos mic problems lately. Cheers from Norway!

Thank you Stig, glad you enjoyed the images. This video is definitely a lot different than what I typically share (most videos are fully on location) but I had to work with what I had. Thanks for watching 😁

Man, all the photos are just stunning! I was watching your video while having lunch, and when the photos showed up, I just stopped chewing with my mouth open. Amazing shots! It's a real shame that the audio got messed up, but the photos certainly made up for it! I wish I can make photos like that too bro. Absolutely stunning.

Thanks Arty, you've really been boosting my ego recently 😂. I hope I did not totally ruin your lunch!

Yeah, definitely have dealt with my share of failures. I even made a video about it earlier this year. Sometimes you have to salvage what you can and just go with it, other times you just scrap the whole thing and turn it into something else. Just keep learning from it.

I like that attitude, every mistake just turns into a new learning experience!

@@shanehiggins4983 Thanks Shane I appreciate it! I have lived in Nova Scotia over the years so that could explain the 'accent' I suppose. This was my first time visiting Grand Manan and I would highly recommend visiting, it's such a unique island. I will definitely be making another trip I have a lot more coastline to explore!

@@tim.poirier well thank you for the recommendation! I am just getting into photography myself, and I hope to be able to catch some images coming close to your par!
