Great theme--and the whole OST from CARAVANS is worth getting if it's still available, because it not only has this theme, but many Middle-Eastern sounding passages. If you've ever visited that part of the world or dreamed of going there, this is the kind of music that evokes that part of the world--often played by small forces, but you can hear Middle Eastern music played by Western orchestras, too!

My CD of the soundtrack to CARAVANS is next to a 2-disk recording of Maurice Jarre's score for LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. Not exactly the same kind of music from the same part of the world, but so far from where I am that I think more of the similarities than the differences. The CARAVANS OST is worth getting if still available!
