I really wish that the very first draft of the musical was available, I'm curious to see what the first Act originally looked like.presumably it was closer to the book, but it sounds like it was still pretty different. 2 hours long sounds crazy!

Same! A recording of a workshop. A read thru. A script. Anything available at all. I would be fascinated to read it.

wicked could have been a very different 1996 film. But, here we are 28 years later. Wicked the Musical being turned into a film.

First of all, she is not wicked she is troubled and was pushed to the breaking point. Besides, if someone spontaneously needs another person and their decisions improved their lives, I'd suggest them be with that person anyway. It's funny how when you're anxious one mistake can lead to one catastrophe after another. Thus, tearing their life to the shreds making them do you value goodness and love until they learn how to love and be good to themselves as well as others. I understand Elphaba completely.

Wonderful and informative content, but the clicking, jingling, rattling microphone system was so annoying there were times I was tempted to bail out of listening! Otherwise, thanks for sharing this.

Winnie is such a fraud 😂 This is Stephen's play, through and through. He deserved a better writing partner, the story really suffered because of her lack of imagination.
