This is such a cool video to watch as someone who wants to write musicals. Just as a writer in general, I have never heard advice quite as helpful.

The conversation about the contemporary influences of Stephen has me reeling. I can hear both "This Guy's In Love With You" and "I Feel The Earth Move" in "Magic To Do." And I thought I couldn't love Stephen Schwartz any more than I already did. This interview is amazing. He is such a dear!

Funny to hear Steve Schwartz say that Leonard Bernstein is the closest thing to a mentor ever. I was in the original cast of MASS. People either got Lenny or didn't. Those that did had an experience like nothing that could ever be described. To this day, all the time I spent with Lenny was the most influential of my life. I feel like the man knew more about everything than anyone I've ever met.

I found a Tim Galloway book a few years back called the inner game of music. It's a great book and I probably will read it again soon. Thanks for the great interview!

Thanks for this clip... I love Stephen Schwartz and his production in Vienna. "Schikaneder-The Musical", I have seen it for ten times. I miss it every hour and hope it will come back on stage soon. I am from Austria, but if "Schikaneder" will return on stage I will com back to see it again and again.
