@@DrAndreaFurlan Hello doctor! I am 46 years old, I injured my shoulder, nothing is broken, the specialist doctor says I injured my muscle! I'm going on therapy,Dr prescribed neproxin! 500 mg daily! he stressed to me that I don’t have to take it every day but when I feel pain! and be sure to take with food! Neproxin helped me but when I take it I feel as drunk! I have no strength! By the way I'm 6'2 "and 250 pounds! When I told the doctor he reduced my dose to 250 milligrams! I don't take it regularly but sometimes! I also noticed that when I take neproxin my sugar is increased for a few hours (I have type 2 diabetes) I drink a lot water! I don't smoke, I don't take drugs, I don't drink alcohol! Do I need to change my medication?

My brother died due to liver failure. Everyone associated this with his drinking problem but he started drinking excessively only in the last 5 or so years of his life. However, he would take Tylenol like it was candy way before he started drinking. He literally would pop several in his mouth and just chew them up! Liquor may have exacerbated the liver issue but I’m confident Tylenol was the primary cause of his liver failure.

NSAIDs overuse can be very very dangerous. If your stomach gets messed up and particles are allowed to pass into the bloodstream you're screwed with inflammation galore. Then you might think it good to take more NSAID. I believe there is a causative link with autoimmune disorders being triggered and damage to the stomach lining.

I normally take ibuprofen. Way too much. I go through a bottle of 500 about every 8 weeks. My hematologist was very upset and said NO MORE. But I have severe neuropathy, fibromyalgia, arthritis, a bad back, chronic migraines and other things. I'm always in pain and because of this stupid opioid crisis no one will prescribe anything that will help my pain and won't hurt me. So I switched to aspirin. I don't know how many I take. When I'm hurting I put some in my hand and take them. I don't care anymore. I just want to not be in pain. The problem with all these NSAIDS I take is that I'm on Eliquis 5mg bid. I have a clotting disorder. I've had 1 DVT and 2 episodes of multiple PEs in both lungs. I am so angry that I have to put my life at risk because Drs say there is an option crisis. By the way, I think it's crazy to have to have a prescription for 800 mg ibuprofen. You just buy the OTC 200mg tablets and take 4. I enjoyed your video. There were meds I didn't really know anything about. I was an RN so knew a lot but I learned a lot from you. Thank you. I will not take Acetaminophen anymore. I won't keep it in my home. I tried to commit suicide by taking a bottle of 50 extra strength Tylenol. it was a horrible experience that now puts me into a severe psychological state. I have severe PTSD. Happy Easter. ❤

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia eleven years ago and given no hope for a recovery. By cutting out processed foods, processed sugar, mild exercise, coffee enemas and cold showers. I have dropped seven prescription drugs I was told I would be on for life. This included 120 pain pills a month, depression meds., tranquilizers, steroid creams for skin rashes and more. This was not easy to do, although it is possible if you are committed to the process. If you are willing to focus on natural solutions rather than pharmaceutical drugs. You will eventually make process and get your life back on track.

Can't that much aspirin per day, if continued, cause severe ringing in the ears? I experienced that when I had a tooth extracted and was told I could take aspirin for pain. When I mentioned to a friend that my ears had begun ringing terribly, she asked me if I was using aspirin for pain, and if so, that it was probably causing the ringing in my ears. I don't think I was taking as much as you mentioned, but my ears were ringing like crazy. I stopped right away, needless to say, but still use aspirin in smaller doses. I tho't people should know this might happen if they take 4000 mg of aspirin a day for too long.

Need probiotics as these anti-inflammatory drugs kills off the biome. Without these beneficial bacteria, body does not make or absorb enough the vital magnesium or potassium. Thus load up on those 2 minerals as well as they are depleted by anti-inflammatory drugs. In my case of pain sciatica, it slowed the recovery rate without the probiotics, magnesium, and potassium. I measured my repeated sciatica throughout my life as an example.

Steroids also lowers platelet count. Last year I was prescribed a ten day course of prednisone and when I had bloodwork done the week after my platelets dropped by 100 and my fibrinogen levels were extremely low. It affected my liver. Two weeks later started losing weight and haven’t been able to stop it. The steroids damaged my liver and gut and now suffering serious malabsorption issues. My digestion is all messed up!

That's her response to every question. I take it too and I don't think ANY of these are good long term.

Really nice video, although ranitidine is off the market in U.S. due to rare association with cancer; famotidine is an alternative; I recommend trying milk of magnesia or slippery elm first

Good point. It is good to have alternatives for the stomach upset caused by anti-inflammatories.

Dr, I suffer from osteoarthritis and had been taken ibuprofen daily 1 x 3, the swelling and redness have gone, but I still have a burning sensation inside my knee. Can you suggest something. I also had xrays done and according to my dr all is well inside the knee.

Why did you cover your voice with music? A REAL Dr would know that this would be a real issue with people with hearing assist devices... Two big thumbs DOWN!😒

If you had watched longer you would have noticed that the background music is only in the first 40 seconds of the video.😉

Tylenol works good for me, but I don't take too much. Sometimes I take one Tylenol pm at nite and it helps thru the next day. Advil irritates my stomach sometimes.
