Julia's math segment reminded be that, in spite of doing Calculus in high school and being the valedictorian, I have gotten so dumb in the past decade. Teenage me would've seen that long division and been able to solve it mentally. Teenage me would know what the quadratic formula was. Adult me had to open a bag of garbage that was sitting outside in the rain for three days because they accidentally threw their debit card and ID away. Adult me has a swirling void where everything they learned in high school used to be before. Then again, adult me is also much happier. Teenage me was hella depressed, early 20s me was hella stressed and still hella depressed, and mid 20s me was also still hella depressed as well but also constantly smoking weed. Late 20s me is the start of a new era, one in which I am dumber than I've ever been but also happier.

@@Queer_Nerd_For_Human_Justice Honestly, despite the half-joke, not really teasing. I've got costumes, and kink & cosplay friends, so no judgment. (Longer version) I just worry about the reinforcing aspect of online social bubbles. *All the groups.* E.g. I have diagnosed ADD (it's bad), and my mom's had clinical depression. And with all the awareness groups, everyone is self-diagnosing now. Which means some people subconsciously look for, & take on certain symptoms bc its trendy to post about (and bc were all looking for friends to feel at home with). But that de-legitimizes more severe issues. So tl;dr, the "It's not a social club" warning freaked me out a little.

I love that David edited this video differently than the others, too. In most other videos the transitions between canvases are quick and simple (the horizontal swipe to a different screen with a little woosh sound, for example). In this one, the transitions between canvases are slow and the swoosh sound is deeper. The melting/swirly transition from Karina's piece to Jacob's canvas (25:14) was beautiful.
