39:50 yeah... kind of, people are sometimes afraid of giving birth on Christmas/ New Year as this is when you're most likely to encounter a drunk doctor, and also general stress of Christmas can either speed the process naturally or try to speed it up to not be held in hospital on Christmas. Also non-emergency c-section are not scheduled for that time, it makes just enough difference to make it least likely to be born then. (I was born on December 24, was supoased to be born on January 1st 😅)

On my first day at my current job, I was walking to the bus stop from work, and it was winter at like 6 pm so it was dark and raining. I had my hood on and was crossing the crosswalk. The walk light was on btw. And this huge truck turns into the crosswalk and I didn't see it until it was upon me. It stopped in time to not do too much damage but I had put my hands up right when it was about to hit me and it made impact with the base of my palm hard enough to send me rolling backwards. It ended up spraining my thumb which I had to keep in a sling for a month. But anyway, idk if this guy was drunk or what but he came out in a panic and was really apologetic, said he didn't see me. I pointed out that the walk light was on. He gives me $200 cash. I was too stunned and anxious to ask for info or anything like that. He offered to give me a ride. I was like fuck no. (I was nicer about it). But damn, dude. This is why I don't trust drivers to ever stop for me even when they're supposed to. I don't cross until they come to a full stop.

My fun birthday fact, my mother and I were born on each other's due dates. 2 days before my mom was born, my grandma had labor induced, but it didn't work, and the doctor eventually sent her home. The next day she went into labor, but my grandpa didn't believe her because it was April Fools day. She eventually got to the hospital and told the doctor she wasn't having the baby until after midnight, even if they had to sew her shut. My mom was born early the next morning. When I was on the way, for health reasons, I was a scheduled C-Section, due on my mom's birthday. But I put my foot down (Literally) and demanded to be born 2 days early, on my mom's original due date.
