Just came across this, and it's honestly nice to -finally- see a left handed artist. While I want to get more more towards being an illustrator then comic artist. I'm just happy to see it done left handed when almost all the tutorials I see are done by right handed artists. Makes me trying to learn/re-learn art much harder

I'm always amazed how our favorite artists post videos like this to help us little guys out. Thanks David, this was really helpful! Only question I have is: do you find it difficult to differentiate between multiple female faces that share the same page? Always liked those mechanical pencils. I got like four or five of them and different packs of leads, a pillow duster type bag filled with eraser dust for picking up excess graphite, some three sided rulers and a paper brush from a drafting class like 23 years ago. Still haven’t run out of lead.. lol And I’m Still using them all to this day. 😋
@DavidFinchartist4 жыл бұрын
They're really the best. They don't break as easily, you can get a finer point if you need it, and the lead tends to be pretty consistent.

David Finch yea I’m always snapping lead on my 0.5 pentel mechanicals. But I do like those too for finer lines. I also got one of them older desk mount sharpeners for the Steadtlers. Or I use the caps on the end. They also have the little sharpener inside.

Sad but true, gave up on drawing humans for the longest time, went on to draw fantasy maps and such, which was fun and helped with drawing and understanding geography. Mountains, hills.
