Max seriously needs to stop treating Lucas like a floormat. Max was just straight up rude to Lucas from the beginning, easily gets away because the fanbase calls it "having none of it" (none of what exactly?) and most importantly Lucas really went out of his way to be there for Max. What exactly did Max do in return? Gawk at Steve Harrington with Lucas right beside her. The fanbase seems to love it too. Lucas truly deserves a better girlfriend and a better fanbase (videos in KZbin dedicated to Mike or Will or Nancy or Steve have millions of views and the ones dedicated to Lucas (if there are any) barely break the 30k mark. Is Lucas just there to be Max's floormat or will he ever get treated with respect in atleast the second half? I clearly understand how this is Max's show now. She can do whatever she wants and it'll always be "iconic" even if it's disrespecting the dignity of those who go out of their way to take care of her (Lucas) Even a fanmade relationship between Will and Mike (with this assumption that Will is gay) has more "stans" than an actual relationship between Max and Lucas that's part of the show's script? You see videos titled "Nancy and Jonathan acting like a married couple for (enter random number) minutes straight" or the same format with Eleven and Mike. You don't see anything like that with Max and Lucas do you? From what I understood, Lucas is the thorn in the flesh for many people when Max is their favourite character (ignore this relationship until it goes away kind of thing). Had Max fallen for anybody else, there will be countless "shipping" videos and "acting like a married couple or whatever for 8 minutes straight" videos about them everywhere just like the rest of them. I really want to see Caleb become a bigger star than Sadie sink. If that happens, he truly deserves it and it'll be a slap to the face of all those losers who make up the stranger things fanbase who worships Max just because "she's having none of it" Max needs to chill. Any guy with some semblance of self respect won't put up with Max the way Lucas did (I'm not implying he has no self respect but you know what I mean). It's the acceptance of Max's behaviour within this fanbase that bothers me. I'm a guy but to me it kinda looks like pretty girl privilege if Lucas was a white kid, you'd see those stupid "acting like a couple for x minutes straight" videos about them left and right. Max walks over Lucas like he's a floormat and this fandom thinks that's so "cool" and "iconic". It's her show now anyway. Might as well double down on the trash treatment and kill his character this season. And remember this I'm about to tell you. If Lucas dies and Max meets some white guy, 99 percent of this fandom will completely forget about Lucas and the "8 minutes straight" videos about the new guy and Max will start coming out from everywhere. That sums up this fandom basically The show's writing is good and they really developed Lucas into a rounded character. But the sheer lack of people's attention towards Lucas despite him being one of the main cast members bother me alot which is when I realised most of these morons who comment "Max is so iconic" just wants Lucas to go away. It's her show now anyway. So what does that tell you and me.
