I have been using a sketchbook for a while and the paper wasn't good at all I couldn't blend colors in it it was good for using markers but it was awful for pencil or colored pencil drawing, my art wasn't really looking good at first, and I didn't know that til my auntie bought me a new sketch book I drew a portrait on the first sketchbook and after a day I decided to try the new sketchbook and the portrait looked very good

Here is the thing. Cheap color pencils take more time to get your art done, because you have to distribute the the pencil more, go over the same colored part to give it more color because of the white spots some cheap pencils dnt cover, and layering takes more time with cheap pencils. But can you do masterpieces? Yes!!! Cheap pencils are a great option for when you are still practicing. More expensive pencils depends on what you already like, and if you are planning on selling your craft With all that said, phenomenal video.

@debleb1663 жыл бұрын
This is true but I can confirm there are some drawing papers at a very accessible price! I would reccomend Daler Rowney Simply watercolour paper, it's relatively cheap compared to most drawing papers (at my local dollar store type place you can get a pack of 5 sheets for 1.50 euro which is 1.79 in USD) . You can also use cheap card stock as an alternative to drawing paper, if it's too smooth you can try sanding it a bit!

I LOVED this, Kirsty! I want to thank you again for showing that just because all you have is say Crayola pencils, doesn’t mean that you can’t do beautiful artwork work with them. I DO have Prismas and the Polychromos and I DO love them…but…even 4-1/2 years after picking up adult coloring, I STILL like using my Crayola pencils and do so frequently. Most people just don’t get it. Then they can’t believe the color I get out of them (most of the time) even without using a blending solution. Then I tell them many light layers and it’s almost like “curse/swear” word to them. For some reason, most don’t seem to mind layering with a good oil pencil, but don’t want to bother with a wax pencil, let alone one like Crayola. I don’t understand it and guess that’s okay….but glad to see that you are showing what CAN be done with them!
