You are so genuinely entertaining while also being super skilled in both art and teaching!! I watched these videos to learn, but they never end up feeling like a class or even like a tutorial because they're so fun to watch and easy to digest. It's always a little intimidating hearing from experienced artists, especially because many of them can end up sounding very elitist, but you're always encouraging people to learn and experiment for themselves and I really appreciate that. Thank you so much for making these videos and giving us genuine lessons for FREE!

i picked up drawing again after 2019 i think today. ive been interested in artists and idk i watched alot of critique/tutorial videos even when i had no intention to start. your video was one of the first I watched today, and i started practicing with 3d shapes snd just drew my first torso i was decently happy with. i was struggling with finding an anatomy video i could understand so seeing this in my notifcations was a nice surpirse. thank you for all that you do‼️‼️

I love the comedic elements you incorporate into your videos - they really make the learning experience enjoyable. I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the effort and hard work you put into creating these videos. It's clear that you're passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others learn, and that's truly commendable. Keep up the amazing work, Marcel! I'm looking forward to watching more of your content in the future!

Good explanation of simplifying the way you draw something. Just wanted to add a small note on the materials used though (which kinda falls out of the scope of the video i realize): it also depends on what you're drawing with. For practicing the things you shown, you're absolutely right. The kind of paper won't matter. If you're trying to use things like alcohol markers or paint, it will make a difference though. That's not to say someone should pay tons of money for top of the line art supplies for practicing, but the cheaper end of the "more specialized" surfaces, will help in practicing those. Cheaper Bristol paper, cheaper marker paper etc. Just use the cheapest you can get away with for practicing the medium you're using. ;)
