The issue is not just that, but if you actually listened to Dray's previous podcasts, he was almost disrespecting KD by comparing/weighing the 2 chips they had won with him than if they had won the chip in 2016. He flip-flops depending on which narrative he wants to push. And now that they won another chip and ppl are bashing KD almost everywhere, he's now trying to inflate KD's contributions to the team but at the same time putting Steph down. Knowing how extremely competitive Steph and Klay were, aside from the team and organization as a whole have a lot of pride, I doubt anyone would agree with him, in earnest, that they wouldn't be able to win another one, considering that they were almost one Draymond suspension away from winning that series. And what followed after were just unfortunate series of events- Bogut, Steph, and Iggy injuries (ppl forget that Iggy played through a back injury and was often taken out during games); bad reffing- taking out Steph in the 1st quarter of game 6 with the softest fouls ever in a finals, and even that Dray suspension was suspect as no calls were actually made during the play, only hours after the game after Bron lobbied for his suspension was he magically given a flagrant thus the suspension. tldr: the officials including the commissioner, blatantly rigged the outcome in favor of the Cavs, and the piling injuries just made it worse. The "new media" is not that much different with the old, just different narratives/agenda the players want to push with their own bias. Dray said alot of sh-* in his podcast that the inconsistencies in his statements are now starting to unravel and catch up to him to the point where he's almost contradicting himself.
@christhompson60102 жыл бұрын
@@JohnnyBGood-vm7rx The difference is allowing the players on your podcast to confront you face to face . that's the difference. This gives players their own forum to respond. If they think something not right they can go on his podcast and clear it up. You will find that the players dont despise each other as much as media a fans would like to believe.

I think Draymond just had PTSD in Boston. He knew he was being watched and scrutinized and he didn’t want to do anything wrong that would get him tossed out of the game and cost them a championship, reminiscent of the year they lost to the Cavs. I think the thought of history repeating itself if he didn’t stay reserved was eating at him, and in a sense him overthinking it took away every emotion that makes Draymond who he is, and took away the energy he brings to the game. Steph channeled Draymond in Game 4 to help his brother out. PG on and off the court, bringing balance to his team individually and collectively.

EXCELLENT. Best sports take I've read in a long time. People don't delve enough into the way emotions and psychology play into sports, I think you've hit this one on the head. Evidence: note the side comment Dray makes about Game 7 2016...he's never even watched that game, pointing to the trauma he's been dealing with over that series...

or he just responded to to the bs hate and shut them up as him and steph do so beautifully.

@@josephperlman6599 Draymond admitted he was thrown off by the circumstances...the trauma comes in as constraining his response to those circumstances, not wanting to meet the crowd's negativity with a negativity that would get him tossed...seems like a likely explanation for his particularly poor play in games 3-4...
