@@DoctorBoz Dr. Leila Denmark would never approve of a Keto diet. She started out as a scientist and helped invent the pertussis vaccine, then treated over 250,000 kids face to face with a faultless exemplary track record, she lived in good health to age 114. She said a person needs to have 3 meals a day every 5 1/2 hours apart with no snacks, and each meal should contain a high quality protein, starch and vegetables. She has 15 awards and honors in her name which is more than any youtube doctor or health expert. Do you think she has been fooling herself and all her patients for over a century?

@@beepbeepnj2658Dr. Boz has a horrible relationship with food. She sees herself as good or bad depending on what she has eaten. She even describes "perfect" eating (which doesn't exist) when she severely restricts. Her relationship is so disordered that she does not allow access to food in her clinic because she cannot control the temptation. Why anyone would want to mimic this behavior is disturbing.

To those new to carnivore- Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I update this list as time passes so it is always up to date, newest items at bottom of list. I have been zero carb carnivore for 1 year this Sept. And yes, carnivore is a permanent lifestyle for me! * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals.And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea) *No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm *No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more brain fog *No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows *used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more! *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around. * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. *Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too! *Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before. *Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides! *I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone! *I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore. *My teeth look more white on carnivore. *My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome! *i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone. * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 12 months. *the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! (Newest update added!) *when laying still in bed to fall asleep at times I would feel dizzy or feel like I was falling through the mattress a bit. I would be laying still and get that suddenly. Felt weird and made it hard to fall asleep. Never diagnosed with vertigo, but it may have been that. I no longer have that since I have been carnivore, which is nice! *little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance! *The top inner corner of both my larger toes have felt a little numb for years. Never had it diagnosed. But being 1 year on carnivore I no longer feel that numbness! My nerves have healed in that spot on both toes! Crazy! If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻 I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic! The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

The most challenging part is eating enough protein so I am not digesting my own muscles for food. Was not in ketosis during the first part of yesterday‘s workout and yikes that was not fun BUT after about a half an hour, I felt those ketones come in and got a burst of energy, an amazing feeling!!

I’ve been hesitant to get the Starbucks egg bites because of all of the additives on the ingredients list. They have 9 carbs! It’s good to see it didn’t really change your BG numbers when you ate them.
@momlife1123 Жыл бұрын
her BG didn't go up after eating them because she had them post-workout. In this context, any glucose you have will preferentially be used to replenish muscle glycogen and be quickly shunted into the muscles and therefore leave circulation very quickly. The ideal time to have any carbohydrates is in the post-workout window. You can easily have 20-30g and stay in ketosis as long as you had a hard 30-45 min workout before.

I have a very mentally stressful and physical job and my glucose rises even though I’m only running on coffee with a teaspoon of MCT and one tablespoon of real cream. So the insulin at night goes up and down, up and down, due to our prior history? That's mind blowing! Thank you! One thing I've seemed to notice for myself, is when I do a fiber drink using half OJ and half water, plus a teaspoon of psyllium husk colon care powder, I sleep better as if my blood sugar is stabilized. I wonder if its because of the fiber slowly releasing the sugar in a controlled way overnight.

Thank you for Sharing, Wow, I think the basic for healthy life is to cook food in your own kitchen, not every day, at least two time a week. I have been on low carb, keto, IF( 17 to 20Hr) for last five years, last year I started running, Jogging. I cook two times a week very simple Less then 20 minutes each time, now mostly soups and stews with high fat, usually a can of Coconut cream in my soups or stews then when serving sometimes put in two eggs or olive oil to add more fat, I make big batch to eat for a few days, Usually have four to five eggs for lunch or dinner. Cooking should be simple with little time, spend the time on activities, not gym( boarding), outdoor activities and not walking, but Niko Niko( slow jogging), Jogging in zoon two( heart rate 110 to 135) is the best way to be in good health( heart) and burn fat like crazy, I do my jogging or running before breaking my fast, now I do 10 to 12K , three times a week, burn 700 to almost 800 calories on each one hour run. I run for my heart health, not to lose weight, actually I gained weight because I gained more muscles. BMI under 21. Food for fuel!!!!! Eat to live not live to eat!!! Do a search on Zoon 2 aerobic exercise, heart rate around 110 to 135 !! Much much better than walking, why walking when you can Jog!!!! Do not over stride and you won't have knee injury!!!!

Dr.Boz I feel like I am stuck. I’m confused, and freaked out. I am 20 years old, I’m a calisthenics athlete who is passionate about strength exercises and I don’t want to take a statin. However my total cholesterol was around 300 before I went keto. My trygicerides around 100 and my HDL around 60 and total LDL was around 240. Idk what kind of LDL good or bad but my doctor says I’m screwdwdd if o don’t take a statin. The internet says I’m screwed if I do keto. But I am 4 weeks into Ketosis anyway and I actually feel much better, more energy, my Brian feels sharp im even stronger. But I’m almost sure next time I check my cholesterol it’s going to be through the roof and of extreme concern to my doctor. Am I in danger? Like how can I still try to build muscle and excel in my goals and not have to worry about a heart attack. Is keto safe for me or am I just destined for a life of statin induced muscle pain. Without much benefit

Why does some doctors tell us that it's dangerous to have a blood sugar lower than 4 (70 in the us)? Weeh I am now in my 55 hour in my 72 hour fast and my blood sugar vary from 3,0/54 and 3,7/66. Is that dangerous? I have no equipment to test my Ketosis.

Ohhh, Starbucks egg bites. I like! Another option they have is cheese sticks

Wow I can’t believe how amazing you look for your age!!! I would have never guessed! I wish the army taught about keto diet since it’s so common for all of us to have aches, pains, injuries, and weird eating schedules, not to mention stress and the need for peak fitness on top of that! It’s been a game changer for me. Also Dunkin has amazing egg bites too! Dried salted seaweed is a good emergency snack for me when I’m facing temptation.

Your Starbucks egg bites have canola oil in it. Wasn't sure if you knew.
@deb528113 ай бұрын
I would not touch any egg bites due to the seed oils. They sre pretty easy to batch prep at home. Might be worth having a local person bake them if no time to cook 😊

Well done for the honesty Dr Boz😊 I can see how you try to lower those numbers and yes even though many years have done damage your fasting will achive in the end! I have no doubt,but look into microbiome stidies as this is maybe one area is overlooked.Some probiotics will not hurt,especially bulgarian yogurt ❤ and i know its too high on carbs but its is the reaction to food you after is it not.all the best xx

Dr. Boz, please could you help. I’m off to Vietnam for 2 weeks this coming Thursday and am really worried I might not find meat options. Have had no carbs for 37 days and do not want to undo the good I’ve done. Any suggestions?
@BlacklistedBible Жыл бұрын
The most common type of meat in Vietnam is pork, chicken and beef.

If you see Com Tam on the menu it's a few big pork chops with broken rice and egg cake. Don't eat the rice and just eat the meat. The egg cake has meat in it but also other ingredients. I asked and they said it had no wheat flour. YMMV Have fun. I just moved there recently and we've been gluten free and carnivore although we are cooking a lot and not eating out as much yet.

I love your informative videos but I must admit buying breakfast for me would be a no, no. Breakfast is probably the easiest meal to prepare at home and you know exactly what you are eating, so I’m a little surprised you do this.

Look into the pop-up saunas. Amazon has some of the steam saunas for $150. My husband bought one for Christmas last year. It worked well for several months

@@DoctorBoz thanks so much for taking the time to reply! The sauna blankets are between $600-900 dollars I believe but perhaps they last longer! Oh how I wish you could be my doctor! I’m sure myself along with loads of other people! We are in small town Nebraska after my husband was called here to be a Pastor, and unfortunately I’m just not able to find a doctor who knows what you know. May God continue to bless your efforts, and thank you for being a blessing to so many!!🙏🏻❤️
