Lisa P, How come psychiatry promises to help but never do, and wasted my time for decades and broke my life-will, functions down by things like cognitive dissonance,not meeting me, not engaging , not treating even with stress management, nothing?, please?

Dear Claudia, I think psychiatry has changed so much since we’ve 70’s when I saw one, even into the 80’s Which is the last time I saw one. Since the. I’ve gone to psychologists, because I’ve seen where I waited for a half of yr to get my grandaughter in. She literally as her dr for 10 mins, the. After when a prescribed of medicine, never again did he speak with her, so went went elsewhere. The medical field has changed so much, just look at how much help with can find online free., from the comforts of our own homes!!!

@@Medietos Dear Claudia, I am sorry you have had such disappointing outcomes. Addressing your pain filled questions would take a lot more time and space than what I can give in this thread. What I can say is that recovery from emotional/mental pain is a journey that takes teamwork with therapists and psychiatrists offering their knowledge and the sufferer inputting the majority of the effort. Professionals cannot promise anything more than the knowledge that they have gathered. I depend on experts like Dr. Leaf to add to my knowledge base so that I can give that to those who come to me. As a Christian therapist I also offer my prayers which I believe are also powerful. As another human being who has suffered abuse resulting in anxiety and depression, I have had to put in a lot of effort towards my own outcomes. This IS the harder part of the work. But it is worth it.
@Medietos2 жыл бұрын
@@kathygildea2025 Yes, but it doesn't help the likes of me heal in this bad a situation, it only helps to not give up and not go totally crazy, and gives some theoretical knowledge. But theory seems to have made things worse for me, many less knowledgeable professionals as well as private ppl seem to be of the false notion that intelligent ppl can help and cure themselves. Of course one can from minor things and if having access to resources. bUt not in my case, where everything is lacking, and not having access to society's resources, Aspergers being the big aggravating, complicating problem. Or is it the C-PTSD, because Aspergians without it can get good help. If only they had been honest, benevolent and open to me and not deliberately made smoke-screens and harm, I might have managed. At least better. I am sorry about your niece. If she has intelligence, ask her to stay away from Psychiatry and seek TCM-help or by a good Naturopath, or a góod Nutrition Therapist.And do it while young, it is easier to heal then. And it is getting harder because of all the toxins and radiation + low-nutrient foods today. And one has energy while young. Once burnt out with the decades of abuse by health-care, on may not be able to make use of ones acquired knowledge and wisdom.Later stage burnout is very difficult to heal from, and with psychical problems, even more so, because one gets somewhat self-destructive with the time of many instances of abuse by the one's supposed to provide help/assistence/therapy. I suspect from experience, that many therapists want easy cases. That is supported by the therapist Daniel Mackler (See his KZbin videó), who quit becaúse he was different. It is so awful how his colleagues let him take all the heavy cases and the one's with little money. This therapist Lisa seems unusual and I am glad for her patients. I think many go bad because they lack a spiritual view of the human being. If we "are" just an animal and not the infinitely valuable crown of creation,, the consequences can be that we aren't worth saving and abortions can be done for profit.

I live in Swaziland a tiny country right next to South Africa (I lived in South Africa for many years) and unfortunately that story you told about a teacher talking about a stupid student is a sad reality for us, especially in government schools. Most of my trauma has come from teachers literally speaking death over my life for many years. I literally grew up believing that I was dumb. It was only in my first year of university that I discovered that I’m actually quite smart and got amazing grades. I no longer had the teachers that were constantly speaking discouragement over me. I feel so hopeful just from watching your videos. Thank you so much for the work that you do. God bless you ❤️

I've watched a few of your videos but this one has been the best yet, really clear and in-depth knowledge, and its just what I needed to hear, to once again remind me that I sacrificed my needs and my identify to please the 'absent' parent. I've been working on my wounds many years now, but it's good to have the reminder that I can still return to my original 'forest path' :)

Wow!! I am truly blown away by what I have learned about something that each one of us can do that other people can't do. I am the type of person that always genuinely compliment others for being smart or when they look nice but I always wondered why certain people never say these things to other people to motivate them. I don't like competing because I know that each one of us is unique and we can never be like the other person. I feel frustrated when someone is imitating me and try to outperform me. Thank you so much for making this clear.

Love the story of the teachers meeting and the support for the student that was given. Lots of things Metacoging can help in low self esteem or the opposite end of the stick , pride and arrogance..when out of balance it seems to create an unhealthy self-centered situation...I found this word of wisdom that I thought was fun....here it is..."Your life is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds, if your life isn't awesome, you may be watering the weeds..."lol I added the YOU MAY BE, to the saying cause I realize there are other issues in peoples lives too..You have always said that we may not be able to control the circumstances but we can control how we react...such good advise.. thank you Dr. leaf for all you are doing to help us to understand the physics of thinking...

Veronica: Isn't it both , though, since we are (hopefully) individuals as well? I wish christians would express themselves more pedagogically so we could understand instead of be unnecessarily put off. more would become christians if things were told in better ways fro outsiders. So sad there are so few christians around to teach/ mentor. They can become chauvinistic , exploitative if not really healed before evangelising.

Thank You so much Dr Leaf...This made total sense, I totally hear you & will try to implement your incredible advice. After facing major adversity in 2004 (by trusting a life-partner instead of my own incredible self) Life is like walking with lead boots on as no-one close to me will allow me to grow again which affects my confidence & self-esteem. In turn is now affecting my well-being. My core know's who I am, my identity & my value on society. Implementing the brain preparation & re-conceptualisation program will help me excel & become the person I am once again. xXx
