I love the Breathing technique. I also find that my relationship, with God, through my quiet time, in The Word, brings a sweet comfort, when I’m needing wisdom beyond human thoughts. Long walks are extremely healing for my thoughts, as I commune with God♥️☺️

You might appreciate the videos of Diane Langberg, Ph.D. She’s worked in Trauma Recovery for around 50 years now, and is a Pastor’s wife. She also has a website and has written several books, available on her site or at Amazon.

Rangan, you are an awesome interviewer !! Not many allow the interviewed to fully develop their thoughts without interruptions. By doing so we the listeners can fully receive and give full thoughts to what’s being conveyed. Thank you for truly creating a platform where extensive learning can take place.

I learn an immense amount from your podcasts which I apply to my life and I share my knowledge with others who also implement it in their lives and so it goes on and on. Let's be careful to temper our faith in science and medicine: while these fields have made great leaps in knowledge and advancing our species, it is up to the _individual_ to discern what is science (and medicine) fact, and what is science fiction. Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, I think most of us would agree that there was much science fiction regarding COVID-19 over the last two years (and counting), with one's political affiliations predicting which claims you're likely to believe, and which you're likely to discount. Either way, _you_ determined which you believed, and hopefully you followed your beliefs and weren't cowed into violating what you believed. My point is, yes, science and medicine are wonderful, but like anything, they must be viewed with a skeptical, critical eye by everyone. Don't accept everything you hear by so-called "experts" just because they have a string of acronyms affixed to their name and they speak with conviction. Much harm, and even evil, has been done in the name of science. Fortunately, I do believe it has been greatly outweighed by the good. Lastly, while I have railed against placing blind faith in science and medicine, I in no way am speaking against either man in this podcast. They seem to both be knowledgeable, driven to do good for humanity, and based on my knowledge of science and medicine, their advice sounds like credible and highly useful information! We need more scientists, researchers, and doctors like them! 👏👍

I was just mentally noting this too. Social media especially tiktok has extremely amplified my already difficult attention deficits. I am continually thinking "I need to..." and then forgetting almost immediately.

Time at 22mins - the psychological sigh. The most immediate tool to bring down stress . Like a brake on the adrenaline system . The sigh release the build up of carbon dioxide . Thdd we sign expels it . It’s a double iṉhale through the nose .. then a long audible sigh thru the mouth

Another great intetview/conversation by you too. Just yesterday, I treated another client with limiting, negative looping thoughts, robbing him of sleep, frustrated feeling stuck, unable to let go and to easily move forward. I teach tequniques to interrupt, which are fantastic to begin the journey, but Rapid Transformational Therapy, using hypnosis, allows the client to go to past events, usually in childhood to understand the root cause; how, when, where and why they acquired the block negative emotions holding them back. This understanding and realisation that the events are no longer relevant and do not serve the adult in any way, allows them to let go. After reframing the old beliefs, behaviours and habits, we code in new ones with a bespoke audio they listen to for a min. of 21 days. The mind learns by repetition. Once the new paradigm is unstalled, has overwritten the old program, they are no longer triggered. The interrupt-tools, like the physological sigh help them until the process is completed! For rapid and permanent results, I've found nothing better than RTT Of course, I advocate exercise, sleep hygene, and healthy nutrition as well.also recommend meditation, practising gratitude; mindfulness. Ive been chronic fatigued for 7 years; i wish in video’s like this, where real scientists give advice: not regular selfhelp psych crap, but real science: there should be advice nr 1: Have your BLOOD CHECKED ! First. Always. Because i lost 7 years of my life because even regular docters would google and then say things like “you should breath different” or “ you have stress, that is why you are tired” . While thetruth was I had a severe b12 D and b1 deficientcy. Especially B12 injections twice a week for 2 years finally got my out of tge hell i was in. I only was awake 3 hours per day. If i tried to be active longer i would collapse in the street. And b12 injections did the trick. Im now at 70% energy of what i think i should have, but it enables me to work. All tge other tips about phoneuse and breathing and focussing etc all work a little bit, they make me go from 70% to 75% but the big healing process really was about blooddeficienties. B12 deficientcy can be caused by the heliocopter bakter bactery that inhibits tge uptake. So no matter how healthy you eat and orally take vitamins, still with that bactery your gut cant do tge uptake. Soas ling as you cant get rif f the bacteria in the meantime you need B12 injections. If docters would just give everyone a full bloodtest, because they can see a lot: size of the bloodcells etc is tge blood thin or thick or too orange etc. Every problem should always start with a full blood analysis.

Andrew Huberman actually teaches at Stanford school of medicine. He, himself, has had many guest on his own program. They OFTEN talk exactly about bloodwork & food choices. Priority of protein & ZERO processed foods. He’s been asked a question and is answering it. When he interviews Peter Attia, ALL they talk about is Blood work FIRST! You are simply blind to who he really is.

Being tired or being lazy are entirely different things, some very tired people are not lazy just exhausted. Please advise how this could be overcome without causing mental anxiety.

Yes do a nursing shift or police etc and come home 13 hours later. Not lazy. Physically and mentally and emotionally done sometimes.

Cheryl It can be so many things but here are a few to check into. Hormones? Even if you are a little younger or older you could go to a Reproductive Endocrinologist and have them check not just estrogen and progesterone but testosterone. My testosterone dropped at a young age and I felt awful and luckily I had someone who knew to check it in women which everyone mistakenly thinks is a "male hormone". Are you drinking enough water? How is your sleep? Are you eating too much or not enough? If you have trauma have you ever done therapy from someone who specializes in trauma therapy because it is much different than regular therapy. Could you be neurodivergent and getting overstimulated? I know you posted this a year ago but I hope this helps!

Cold puts me into lazy mode - alot of times in Winter/fall, I won't even wash my face before bed, I skip going to the gym. I'm so uncomfortable that I shut down and don't want to move or go anywhere. When the sun is out & it's warm, I'm invigorated and can't wait to start a project or go outdoors etc.

The early point .. the mental focus follows the visual focus . Love this .. such a tangible practise. I’ll esp get my teen in senior schoool to do this and myself. The crossbar and focus on that for a few minutes in front of you arms length away

Dr Huberman I've been watching you for years!Thank You! i really appreciate your information. I apply your advice to all aspects of my life including my career as a Massage Therapist because I consider my profession not just a luxury and much more than physically therapeutic, I think massage therapy has a potential to teach the physical body to relax. You certainly see people who have never had a massage before go from nervous and anxious at teh session to walking in relaxed and ready to stay that way! So even anticipating the appt becomes mentally relaxing! We as therapists have an opportunity to teach people. I often bring this change to my clients attention. My reward is healthier happier clientele.

They are intertwined, absolutely. You cannot have healthy heart rate variability if your nervous system is out of whack. People who have their survival system "on" most of the time, sympathetic side of the autonomic nervous system , have poor heart rate variability.

Should time stamp for each person I thought it was all Huberman when it started. If you can commit totally to the time it’s beneficial. I’m stuck elevating a broken ankle I appreciated the length without having to find the next topic. Pain and isolation is awful I’m not going anywhere. Lol I change the playback speed sometimes to 2x as fast

Wow! This is very different from the decades of work I’ve been doing. I look forward to trying these, because you’re right - to adjust your thinking when your thoughts are the problem in the first place is the reason the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy failed me during panic attacks

One interesting concept too, studies are finding out that there may be a correlation to LED light and Alzheimers. Not that LED light is causing it however due to what has happened since the invention (we have been able to stay indoors for longer periods) our bodies recieve less IR radiation from the sun or from old light sources (Incandescent bulbs or bulbs with filaments). Which reduces the photobiomodulation effects we get from that part of the spectra.

I am a type two diabetic. I have been intermentent fasting for most of 2023. My eating window is 8 to 9 hrs on a good day. 10 or more on a bad day. Very low carbs if any during an eating window. I do drink small amounts of coffee with LOTS of cream when Ubering as a driver at night or when I am really hungry. As a diabetic, since I've started fasting my eyesight seems a bit sharper, there is much less redness in my eyes, and my belly and back fat finally seems to be shrinking. But lately sometimes I feel awful. I am also ADHD. I feel depressed and overwhelmed by life obligations, my stomach bubbles, I've had constipation (which may be due I think to dehydration caused by diabetes), headaches, Nausia, exhaustion, confusion or difficulty focusing and feeling overheated. Could I be doing something wrong or might you have some suggestions for making my new lifestyle a bit more comfortable? Thank you very much.

@@purplehaze779 Regular dairy heavy whipping cream. I've since cut back on dairy so no more cream. I've decided to discontinue fasting. I began to feel like I was killing myself. And Now that I mention it, my eyesight seems to be worsening. Thanks for checking in.

What do you think of using Nootropics, amino acids and other supplements to increase the “flow” +++.I’ve been using them lately and am more mobile, less stress, better sleep +++ When I dn take them, I go back to baseline.

Man your content is good but your Clickbait titles are cringe, misleading and annoying as shit. If multiple points are discussed then use the word 'These' not 'This', it's click baiting people into thinking there is one important thing to do to fix all the problems outlined in the title as stated, and after watching THREE HOURS of ambiguous content most would struggle to identify what the thing that 'This' was even referring to. Needs Timestamps and summarized notes for application.

Useful facts: Physical reset through breath and sigh; physical focus exercises will be followed by brain plasticity of mind to focus or relax. Meditation and breathing exercises also help with the brain plasticity. FLO activity opens the Aha moment... could help with active recovery process...nature walks are wonderful specially discovering new pathways....

Nice recording and crunchy sound to the piano to me it doesn’t sound like the usual Steinway I think he mostly recorded on. The open sound of the piano makes Bill shine. Was last gig of a no doubt busy schedule too I guess. Overall excellent recording obviously a small club room. Thank you.

I was watching a YT video on being in a relationship with an abusive/NPD person and the victim spends so much time on ruminating, feeling stressed, being hypervigilant, coping, that they have no energy left for the rest of the things they need to do in life. They end up spiralling down into lethargy and depression.

I have a condition that prevents me being able to take the inhales via my nose, are there any alternatives. Will breathing through my mouth have the same effect.

Try to do it through your mouth with your tongue tip on the root of your mouth, behind your teeth; this creates an energetic connection and also filters /warms the air as it comes in. You can absolutely do it like this.

This is the most unflattering photo of Andrew Huberman. All your other videos have professional flattering photos. Why is the photo of Huberman ghastlt, looks like he is about attack. I think its pure jealousy and extreme contempt for one of the best scientist today. Why would you do that? Ive lost a lot of respect for and will not view anything from you again. Appauling conduct.
