CAUTION ADVISED: this podcast contains mild swearing.
Rich Roll reveals how every success in his life has been very hard-fought and has been a process of work undertaken consistently, aggressively and anonymously. He believes that many of us overestimate what we can do in a short period of time and wildly underestimate what we're capable of accomplishing over a decade or a number of years. Above all, he is a believer in process over outcome, the journey not the destination. Growth is all about stepping outside your comfort zone.

Hello. I love these long conversations because we have the time to dive in deep which is so much more interesting than those shallow interviews. I often go to bed a little earlier and mostly listen rather than watch - hence not expose my eyes to a screen. It’s a wonderful me time! So thank you. And I love your guest here, Rich Roll and his podcasts too. I learn so much which is where my profound motivation lies. Take care : ))

It is always comforting to hear that even experts/elite level/professionals get nervous. it's a good reminder that feeling nervous or fearful isn't a reason not to do something.

I'm fans of both of you! What I find most interesting, thought-provoking, and instructive, is a exchange in which the hosts question initiates a free form exchange in which personal insights and vulnerabilities are revealed by both host and guest. This creates a highly memorable synergy.

Depends on the richness of the content , if one is amazed , interested , etc . If the content is full of info ...The longer the better. I find these two make the most interesting interviewers

Stephen Porges in the Polyvagal Theory writes "if you want to to make the world better, make people feel safe." When you say smile and create safety and connection, you're co-regulating the nervous system of the other person. And their response corregulates your nervous system. 😊

@@judithdarida6998 I totally agree. But then why criticise someone for correcting someone? It's the same mechanism. I got triggered, you got triggered... At least I was polite.

rich roll is a very cool guy IMO and i enjoyed this talk, probably more for the mood or general attitude or matureness, rather than the content itself. but the title "How To Get 1% BETTER EVERYDAY To Achieve Anything You Want" is very misleading since it suggests that it's mainly about the personal growth and skills and so on but this talk about this only very partially. I don't know myself right now what other title would be better and still catchy but this show does not need to trick people into clicking on this. interestingly enough this episode has sections in the description and i find even those to misrepresent the content.

Manage your 20 min sessions; you don’t need to watch it all at once. It is like eating pizza - you can leave some slices for tomorrow …
@rossbennett2524
@rossbennett2524 2 жыл бұрын
@@philnasmith9755 there are many other great podcasts (pizzas) out there too, and only so much time to dedicate to ‘em, shorter means the ability to watch more of them. Some of these long ones are like the same time one dedicates to watching a movie. If there were two versions of the podcast, short and long, then there’s options and my guess is that the shorter version would have way more completed listens It would from me for sure.

31:00 doing a talk show (called a podcast here) is not "just two people looking at each other", what about the thousands and thousands of people watching it later as well? i find this claim quite manipulative

I was a guest on a TV show a few years ago. I sent in my story for her and it was obvious that she didn't even read my story. I walked away from the interview going 'What the heck was that!' It was very disappointing! I really didn't get to talk about my story.

53 minutes in and not ONE word about how to get 1’% better + why put race in - America has made a million dollar business out of it - to me it feels like there’s never been more division then before. What is important is the person in front of you and how it behaves. Never cared if one is white, black, yellow or green, fat or thin, tall, beautiful or ugly - all that matters is HOW one behaves. Anyway I’ve said this before and many do and I guess since you’re videos are still being crazy long - I dunno is there sth like the longer they go the more commercials can be put in the more money ones earns? Genuine question - cause I really don’t get why they have to be so long. You can have a two hour podcast and pretty much say nothing or have a 20 minutes one with all the important informations in it. For those few who got this time fine - but most people I assume just don’t. 50 + minutes it’s time Ive taken away to spend with my kids and so far it’s been futile which makes it even worse. Please less time but more to the point. Thank you and happy easter holidays.
