I exercise in a fasted state and it was the best way for me to initially lose weight/fat. Our bodies are not meant to eat all day long and even the three meals a day is more of a modern day living concept. Our ancestors would have fasted regularly or eaten one meal a day.

### Key Takeaways: #### Metabolism and Weight Loss: - Capsaicin in chili peppers activates the TRPV1 receptor, leading to endorphin and noradrenaline release, which in turn activates brown fat for calorie burning. - Whole foods, especially those rich in fiber and nutrients, promote satiety and weight loss. - Intermittent fasting, adequate sleep, and avoiding late-night eating contribute to weight management. - Diets rich in Mediterranean or Asian foods, such as tomatoes, avocados, and leafy greens, support weight loss. - Incorporating foods like canned beans, lentils, and seafood rich in omega-3 fatty acids can enhance metabolism and fat fighting. - Consuming calories earlier in the day and eating within a 10-hour window can improve overall health and reduce chronic disease risk. #### Circadian Rhythm and Sleep: - Exposure to appropriate light is essential for regulating the body's internal clock, with bright light in the morning and dim light in the evening recommended. - The widespread use of artificial light and screens has disrupted circadian rhythms, impacting sleep and health. - Strategies to mitigate artificial light effects include reducing exposure before bedtime, using dimmer switches, and adjusting device settings for warmer tones. - Consistent daily routines and using low blue light bulbs can support better sleep and circadian rhythm regulation. #### Inflammation and Mental Health: - Chronic inflammation, influenced by stressors and diet, can negatively affect physical and mental health. - The gut microbiome plays a significant role in regulating the inflammatory response. - Chronic inflammation is linked to mental health issues like depression and anxiety. - Diet impacts brain health, with certain foods having anti-inflammatory effects that can improve mental well-being. - The antidepressant food scale helps identify foods beneficial for preventing and treating depression.

I may be a bit confused about the described process for growing plants. Were you speaking to conventional farming? Currently, most farmers don't clear a field, used a disc implement for planting, etc. All of that is changing with the smaller farmers. And if you shop at local farm markets, it helps cut down on buying something that was trucked from 1, 2, or more states away.

Hence why permaculture is becoming more popular. My garden is lazy and easy. Takes a lot of work up front, but each year gets easier especially when plants seed and you plant a few in the fall and they just come up naturally in the spring. The healthier plants always come up when planted in cool or cold weather.

I'm sorry but that whole thing about handling carbs better in the morning is a big pile of BS! Midday might be a reasonable compromise, but it's a known fact that even insulin sensitive people show some insulin resistance in the morning. And never mind the carb chasing, hungry within two hours madness any parent that has fed their still metabolically healthy kids cereal and compared that to feeding them a protein based breakfast knows very well. They'll tell you the difference is mindblowing. When you are already metabolicaly compromised, it gets ten times worse!
