Star anis: I have used star anis a couple of years ago in making apricot jam. It gave it a lovely, but subtle licrocy taste. The crazy thing is that today, at least 2 years after making the jam, it is still good to eat! No mould or anything and the taste is just as good as on day one. So it actually also has a strong preserving effect. ❤️
