I had a PCL tear and had a double bundle with Kevlar tape operation. It's a lot of work, but if you are serious enough to get surgery, you are serious enough to rehab it, learn a lot of exercises, and come out stronger.

It is a major surgery and recovery, but patients can have good outcomes, as you mention. Thanks!

Great Info Doc. I been having "RIGHT" Knee Pain, got shot up B 4 Vacation, (Didn't do Much, maybe a tiny bit). Got Home after Walking 16 MILES with the Grandkids / Family. Had an MRI done, the Result's were Very Disheartening and actually kinda like "SAY WHAT"???? How does All this happen without me having any "REAL SIGNS OF IT"??? Complete Tear of the ACL. Partial Tear of the MCL, Slight tearing of the MCL & LCL, SPLIT Meniscus, Bone Spurs Under the Knee Cap, and Floating Debris??? And of course, Some of the ever so famous Osteoarthritis! I'am most likely looking at a T K R of the Right Knee I Imagine? Doctor Ordered an X Ray, that I haven't heard back on as of Yet or seen the Doctor Since it was Taken a "MONTH AGO".

Ok, Didn't really expect Dr. Geier to Diagnose my situation or Offer Medical advice. Was just wondering how So many things could be/go Wrong and me not Feel something happen? Like the complete Tear of the ACL? My Neighbor had that happen to him on a Trampoline and He couldn't Walk, and his knee looked like a Giant Grapefruit. Ended up in the ER, and then had the surgery to repair the ACL. That's All. Don't expect Dr. Geier to offer medical advice online. Thank you for the reply.

I collided knee on knee with someone during a football match. The bruising appears to have all gone after 2 weeks but I cannot even jog without pain that feels like it is inside my knee. What type of injury do you think this is?

I been in motor accident in 2021 and i broke my knee.. But now i got my MRI result here in japan after 3 years. But bad news for me. Because the doctor said that i will no longer play basketball again. Because my joint in the back off the knee is cut. and not be able to fix again. I think thats the PCL right? The joint on the back of the knee across to ACL right?

Can I ask how an isolated grade 3 pcl tear causes higher chances of Osteoarthritis? My orthopedic says my knee is strong, but im not sure if strength alone is enough to prevent OA, thank you Doctor!
