Suggested routine for use in wash form: -Use a gentle cleanser to remove makeup/dirt/sunscreen. -Lather on benzoyl peroxide wash (on damp skin) to areas that have acne. Use simple circular motions with pads of the fingers, and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Be sure to avoid eyes/lips! -Rinse off. -While skin is still damp, use a moisturizer. In the morning, use sunscreen as well.

For years when I was a teenager I used salicylic acid cleanser to treat my acne. It was over exfoliating my skin and leaving it tight after every wash. Once I switch to benzoyl peroxide my acne flatten down and my skin calm down instead of drying up like it did with salicylic acid. I wish they stop advertising salicylic acid as an acne treatment. I use salicylic acid cleanser once a week as an exfoliant. I don’t have acne anymore, but once in a while my skin breaks out and I use benzoyl peroxide cleanser and my skin back to normal.

I've been using benzoyl peroxide gel since 2008 and it's the ONLY treatment to clear my nodular acne. When I was a teen I'd use salicylic acid and it would always irritate my skin. BP 5% or less doesn't irritate my skin at all.

Alternating between Salicylic Acid(morning) & Benzoyl Peroxide(night), plus using a toner that suits your skin type that is alcohol-free, unscented, and natural, may be great holy grails for clearer skin. :) I personally like Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash or Neutrogena's Rapid, Clear, Stubborn Acne Scrub (both products are 2% Salicylic Acid). And Neutrogena's Rapid, Clear, Stubborn Acne Gel (Maximum Strength Benzoyl Peroxide/10%). Using a sunscreen spf 30 as part of your regime the next day would help. ♡ And toner, Thayer's Witchhazel Rosepetal toner is a good option that should be used with a cottonball gently & allowed to patiently be absorbed + cool water after helps with redness if there's any. These would likely help with hormonal acne, I myself am going through its journey to clearer skin. Products listed are only as guides lol or examples/references but they help. Moisturizing and/or a noncomedogenic oil also are very important. 💞💞 Nourish the skin, as you're helping its acne go away!

It will probably get worse before it gets better but please don't get discouraged. There is light at the end of the tunnel. When i was 13 i started down the breakout road. Mostly on my chin and lower checks. My mom got me some benzoyl peroxide wash and lotion. I used for the first and only time , that night. I woke up with peeling ,burning, red swollen skin. Mom took me to the pediatrician. He sent me to the dermatologist for the first time. I'm allergic / too strong for my skin. My mom felt soooo bad. Dermatologist gave me a small list of 2 products wash and moisturizer. All were Neutrogena and fragrance free. And he told me to throw away any makeup brushes I used with Natural hairs. And get synthetic hair brushes. Wash them every week with a mild soap. Stop using any astringents. He prescribed a sulphur wash to be used only in the area of the break outs. Never had a zit again. Lesson learned. I need a dermatologist in my life! My Skin is way to sensitive to not have one. I was nervous to start Retin A. I was leaving the wash on my face for 5min! It was irritating my skin so much. After watching this I do 3min and it doesn’t burn. 🙌🏻😭❤️

I was actually using a facial brush to scrub the 5% wash on and my face looked like an instant sunburn. 😫 Then I would put on a 10% cream...but thankfully that didn't make it any worse. I'm just going to use one or the other from now on. Whoooo we really needed this vid 😅

The perfect timing. I've purchased clindamycin with Benzoyl peroxide three weeks ago after watching you, and it worked wonders. My next step is retinol (tretinoin isn't available in my country) to help remove hyperpigmentation. Can I use a retinol to which salicylic acid is added while I'm using clindamycin and benzoyl? All thanks to you. I am a Syrian living in Syria, by the way. 🌹🌹

During my 7th-9th grade years, I started breaking out and having really oily skin. When I was about to start Accutane, my dermatologist started me on Tri-Sprintec, a birth control, which cleared me up right away. I’m a sophomore in college and I’ve started breaking out again because my gynecologist switched me to a different birth control for period pain when I took the placebo pills in the birth control in the Tri-Sprintec. i’m back on Tri-Sprintec and hoping that these products get me back to a clear face. Thank you for your advice and recommendations!

Thanks for the amazing vid! Questions please for epiduo: -why would i use this all over when acne is only on jaw and cheeks? -once acne is cleared how long should we use it? Forever? Your skin is clear so why use it still? - if it is forever use, do we drop it down to few days week once skin cleared? - if we want to get pregnant and come off it, do we titrate down rather than stop suddenly (and do we risk rebound flare ups) Subscribed, liked and my huge Thanks 😘

Happy Wednesday, Dr. Dray! Thanks so much for doing this video and covering this subject again. I have always had issues with body acne and I've currently been using the Differin benzoyl peroxide wash but haven't been impressed with it and am planning to switch to PanOxyl based on all the info you've posted about it in your vids. This definitely helps me know how to better implement it in my daily routine. Watching your channel has helped my skin so much!

Recently, I just started to implement this ( *AcneCureOnline. Com* ). Getting good results so far. I will continue with it, if it seems good further.?

TheDaysEnd 1 second ago I am surprised the Differin deep cleanser BP wash didn’t work for you. The formulation is a lot more simple and should have less of a chance of causing irritations compared to Panoxyl. It’s like 7 ingredients vs 20 ish in either 4 or 10% panoxyl. The Perrigo BP cleansers have a similar formula to the Differin with the addition of a few extra ingredients but still like 9 or 10 vs 20 something in Panoxyl.

To anyone who has come across this video it works. because it's the summer i really needed something to stop the "hiding acne" from coming, and this has worked so far. i also use it along with a 3% to let it sit on the scaring and fade it. it's only been 4 days and my scares and previous acne is less dark from tampering with it. if anyone is wondering about how a week of process will look i'm gonna update until my scaring is gone.

@IIISincerelyIII2 жыл бұрын
@@ericgagnon6450 Half of the acne is gone the other spots are fading and i haven't gotten any other flare ups considering its the summer time i usually break out on my shoulders and all over my face, but going into week two nearly everything is only a bit noticeable. by week 4 i believe everything would be cleared up. also i did it 3 times a day. (washing my face in the morning bathe in the evening and washing my face at night but every time after that wash you would apply the 3 percent on ur dark spots. to speed up the healing process and so far it works wonders.)

I would just like to ask if the routine I am having right now is okay for my very very very acne prone skin that I am battling for almost 5 years now, I think. Here it goes: AM: 1. Micellar Cleansing Water 2. Panoxyl Foaming Wash 3. Oil Control Toner (non-comedogenic) 4. Vitamin C Serum w/ Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid and AHA. 5. Non-comedogenic Moisturizer 6. Sunscreen PM: 1. Micellar Cleansing Water 2. Gentle Facial Cleanser 3. Oil Control Toner (non-comedogenic) 4. Benzoyl Peroxide (5%) 5. Non-comedogenic Moisturizer
