I got a Toyota fj40 when I was a teenager, and never changed the oil ever! I drove that truck all over America, Canada, Alaska and Mexico putting over 200 thousand miles on it. I sold it when I was 35 and told the guy I had never changed the oil, ever:-) I ran into him 9 years later and he told me he'd never changed the oil either, and drives it almost every day. That's quality, I only drive Toyota's

I’ve been following you two for a while now. I like your editing and camera work. Often your lens seems to come to rest on a subject that that would probably be over looked. Pointing out to me...hey look at this cool thing here. I am beginning to like you two a lot. I appreciate your humor and outlook. Thanks

Great Channel Guys. In a short period, you have become one of my favourite sailing channels. Hope to see you one the water one day. "Half wind" is that translated from German "Beam Reach"? In polish, we also call the wind direction "half wind" :)

Hey Jakub! Yeah, Halbwind 😆 Happy you found the channel!

That anchorage!! OMG!!! That was surely one of the coolest spots I've seen you at, I'd stay there for days. And the hike up the cliffs? Ummmmm, I''d do it, but I wouldn't look over the edge. Fear of heights! And I used to have my pilots license and fly. Airplanes are OK, cliffs, towers, tall buildings, and roofs are not for me. Weird. Do you ever go up the mast? That's got to be intimidating.
@seethelittlethings4 жыл бұрын
It was so great!! We stated a couple days until the waves came from south and it turned into a whirlpool 😂 so then we had to leave. No choice! I do better and better with my fear of heights! As long as I sit down hehe. Haven’t really been up the mast yet. We might have too soon.. maybe Alex goes hehe

Love your channel, and everyday boat life. Have you looked at moving your engine oil filter with a relocation adapter?? You can mount it so it always easy to access and clean so it doesn't drip
@seethelittlethings4 жыл бұрын
That is an amazing idea! I also wondered how to get additional instruments in there.

..... Mandy, how was the descending from that beautiful viewpoint .. I remember there was a time previously that you did a mind over matter to get down from another fantastic outlook over some magnificent scenery ... like your remedy for keeping the dinghy of the rocks Alex, oh yes, the trolley car like setup to get to shore, pretty slick ..... thanks for showing us what you see and learn ... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger ... have fun be safe, save our oceans ....

Wow, what a nice episode (again ;-) ). Your camera skills are also amazing. Looking forward to the oil change video. I found a quick way to do it on our d2-55 volvo penta.
@seethelittlethings4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Henri! Let us know your secrets! MD2030 here
@henrirotthier57104 жыл бұрын
@@seethelittlethings Our D2-55 is in fact a 'marinised' Perking engine. It still has his normal bolt on the oil pan on the right bottom side (like on a car). I put a (low height) plastic recepient underneath and let the oil flow out in 3 times (recepient is 3 liters and the engine holds 8,5 liter). Takes about 5 minutes. And I don't have to take the large vacuum pump on the boat. A little brass handpump does the job (for the gear oil change). Space is always short on a sailboat. Tschüss
@seethelittlethings4 жыл бұрын
@@henrirotthier5710 🤔 huh. So we're probably looking at screw 18 on www.volvopentashop.com/epc/en-GB/Details/PentaPartsCatalog/7740690_027?path=MarineDieselEngines%2F7740690%2F7740690_22%2F7740690_027 .... I have to check it out once back on the boat. Sounds so obvious. Thanks Henri!

Alex, Mandy, Those caves, about 15 years ago, were used as a hippy commune, until they were evicted.
@seethelittlethings4 жыл бұрын
Oh really! well that explains the toilet we found somewhere! I lived in Granada in 2012/2013 and there are caves like that too that were used by hippy communes. Do you know if those are still there?
@pacopineda-gambucero29434 жыл бұрын
Yes, some of them, in the Sacromonte, what not used as "tablaos", and in the "La Fuente del Avellano" trail are still used as hippy communes. Nice to know you lived in my birthtown.
