Your base looks enormous, it’s going to be a big pond. As your bro is a top builder, you should get him to show you how the professionals lay blocks 😏😉😄. I think your shower should be on the far end backing onto the filter house, my shower has crystal bio in one tier and kockney koi kintama balls in the other tier. It works well for me. Returns across the window is good, but you’ll need one on the opposite side to push the water down the pond towards the drain. Enjoyable video, keep them coming. Stay safe and well 👍🏻

Steve as always, I really appreciate your time to respond. Ive tried, he isn't that easy to get hold of. He will be back in a another episode, towards the end of the build to show us all some proper expertise. I won't spoil it too much though, after all I want to be the star of the show LOL.

Yes Tony 🙌🏽 So is Ben your brother 🤔 should have been a drinking game, you mention hes your brother and we have a drink haha just messing with you 👍🏼 Coming along nicely now buddy 👌🏽 Personally if money allows I'd go for momotaro BHM media in the shower but it has a hefty price tag. But you should look for a ceramic media as you will already have the plastic type in your nexus, if it were me I'd speak to Mike at queni koi and see what deal he can do but it's best to shop around. Stu at Surrey koi uses burtons ceramic media and has found its excellent so far, you will most likely see him on Saturday so I'm sure he will be more than happy to share his findings 😉

Seen you’ve picked up on the “brother” thing. 😂 He hates the camera so I made sure he knew every-time I mentioned him 😂 He’ll be getting ripped to shreds at work for being on the Tube! Momotaro media is like having a mortgage 😂 That said, Lee Hadfield uses it as well and he swears by it. I may need to save a few pennies to get some. Are you going to the show?
@Tom_Prendiville2 жыл бұрын
@@KraftyKoi I know a fair few people including us who uses BHM and i wouldn't change it to anything else but at around £165 for a 10kg box it's a argument waiting to happen 🤣 You dont have to buy it all at once 👍🏼 Yes I'm at the show and of course i will make sure i say hi 👋🏼

@@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer123 oh definitely, similar to you you mate. Never done any building work before so it’s trial and error. The only issue I have is that some of my build isn’t supported by any ground holding it all together due to it being on a hill. So 4-5ft will be a big wall.
