the quick and dirty on the overall concept is that Cage's character discovers that for some reason, total strangers he's never met in his life are seeing him in their dreams -- the hostess at the restaurant in this clip, for example 😂

Nicolas cage does his best role in a while, Julianne Nicholson brings the film back down to reality, it’s fun and thought-provoking, and challenges audiences with what it’s saying about its themes. The ending is going to be predictable but in a good way and when it comes it is just beautiful and it made me cry twice (I’ve seen the film twice). The editing is also really superb and adds to both the comedy and the drama. The score is super whimsical and at times horrific. It was just really great, but I have to admit I have a bias towards surreal and absurd movies (I actually really liked Beau is Afraid, which I just watched last night).

Nicolas Cage is great in this film. Even though this is a good film, it's a shame because it misses it's potential. Also, nit-picky: the editing was off a couple times and the shaky camera can be annoying.
