Well this took me ages. 142 frames later, there's a lot about this that I think could have been done better, but I've been working under limited time and digital resources. I am so ridiculously proud of how this came out, and I hope you all enjoy.
Sorry about the low resolution on some parts of this, KZbin compression really got me for some reason.

A few things I love that you may have missed: - the outlines from 1:08 to 1:17 are reflections of the characters at that point in the story (wilbur is fading from his original benevolence, fundy mirrors this, eret is haunted by his past betrayal, etc.) - the whole thing is only colored with the l'manburg flag colors - techno has a peg leg (it's only pictured once but I think it's cool) - the background colors are reflective of different points in the story for techno (black is his introduction, red is times of conflict, yellow is peace/memory because of wilbur, blue is his 'retirement' before returning to red as tommy comes home) - the chorus is dialogue between the pictured characters (this is more obvious in the subtitled version) - techno sees all other characters in shades of grey (hence the lack of coloring there) - flag changes from 1:08 to 1:17 - the focus transitions from techno to tommy back to techno because of their shared connection to wilbur, but also because they both serve as righteous characters in their own arcs - halo around Tubbo at 3:12 for "how dare you speak of grace," as he is a righteous character there as well - bells on Techno's cape is a reference to his conversation with Quackity about how humans are persistent--if Technoblade never dies, it doesn't matter if you hear him coming, he'll get you anyway. Lastly, a lot of the designs in this came from direct feedback from the creators shown here! Thank you to Technoblade, Ranboo, Tommy, Eret, and Dream for your input! I'm not sure you'll ever see this but I hope you enjoy if you do :]

I’m genuinely shocked by this animatic, this is absolutely astounding work. I definitely tested up and I haven’t cried for years. You did so much justice to the sbi family dynamic. The slight hate Techno has for Phil in this is just so perfect, the song choice is absolutely perfect, and it’s also just a great fucking song. (I love Mumford and sons.) the moment where Tommy and Techno hugged felt so emotional. Dude this is incredible. Literally priceless art.

I love how technoblade's character design goes from giant boarbarian king to beautiful, scarred elf man the moment he takes off the pig helmet. He may be a pig man, but damn, his hair is impressive.

I did notice the use of colors, and I thought that was really cool! Limited-color animatics allow for color symbolism and I liked how you limited it to only the colors of the L'Manburg flag. The art in this animatic is beautiful as well and I love the character designs. The compositions of each of the frames were strong and the timings that go along with them were done very well, especially at 3:17 onwards. Great job!

When you consider the inspiration for the song, it all really comes together. Mumford & Sons really did Lillith good when oding a song to her, and with it we see just how justified both her and Technoblade are.

Coming back to just gonna say that the bells on Techno's clothes is one of my favorite. It's so cute but the idea of the dread his enemies feel when they hear him coming. Those chimes ringing as the blood god raises his sword. I got goosebumps

This video just came up on my recommended home page again and I said out loud to no one, "I love this animation so much," and immediately came to watch it again. I love the music you chose and the emotion you evoke. It's been hard to consume any Technoblade/Dream SMP related content since he passed, I tend to avoid it if I see him in the title or thumbnail. But we're getting there. And this is such a wonderful piece of art I just had to play it again. Thanks again for sharing with all of us!

oh my goodness I LOVE this especially the part where it's like "i will not speak of your sin, there was a way out for him" like techno is mad at phil for killing will which I'd never thought about even as a headcanon but it really adds to the family dynamic (which isn't canon sure but it's still a great headcanon) and makes you think about techno's grief at losing his brother AH AND NOW I'M CRYING THIS IS AMAZING

I KNOW. I've always thought it was kind of a shallow answer when Phil says "he forced me to kill him" when Wilbur did no such thing. In the end it was his choice to kill Wilbur knowing full well Techno was standing right there, so I headcanon that Techno would harbor some resentment for him, despite needing him as a guiding figure.

@@SketchboxAB I always headcanoned that it was a mixture of the horror at what his son had just done and witnessing his son's insanity that ended up adgitating his voices (which think are canon?) so they goaded him on and so he was being pursuaded to kill wilbur not only by wilbur himself but also by his voices

Me too honestly its never sat right with me that Techno is just chill working with a man who killed the guy who was like a brother to him. Also that phil keeps saying 'i didnt have a choice' where he clearly did, and he chose to kill his oldest son. And the parallels between Techno killing Tubbo and Phil killing Wilbur are so overlooked ('peer pressure')
