Got mine done over 4 years ago with Sapien 3 valve! Been doing Olympic snowboarders Shaun Whites workout program for 2 and a half years ago and have had lots of success with it along with a valve with no regurgitation and only minor narrowing. He also has TOF! 1-2 2-3 hour mountain bike sessions a week and 3-4 days of strength training mixed with mobility plyometrics. My doctors told me that they could actually go crack open the valve more and continue to put it in threw out life so might never need a open heart again. One thing that also matters is height and weight with artificial valves considering they are sitting in fixed position. I was able to get my valve at 16 and I hit growth spurt and my valve needed to be replaced at 18 via the heart cath. Much better than open heart

Glad you followed up with the message i sent you about The Harmony valve for your son, i remember you talking about open heart surgery and you were not a big fan about that procedure. Thats when i reached out and sent you a message about the Harmony valve. I know another teen few months before your son got the valve he. went through the same procedure in Boston.

And honestly who knows what the medical and technological advancements will be by the time he actually goes through a couple iterations. My grandfather had to have a major heart surgery 20 years ago but if it was performed today it would likely have been a much less invasive procedure.

Right! This procedure was just approved not long ago for kids. Technology moves fast.
