Used coffee grounds are great to sprinkle around flowers and plants. Slugs don't like to slither over it! I hardly had any this year.

Not a grasshopper, it’s a katydid. You can tell by the triangle shape instead of being more rounded. Excellent predator for the garden.

Hoe fo you achieve such a dense vegetation though? I live in a fairly sandy area and my garden beds look so pathetic haha i did fertilize with horse manure and linden leaves in autumn so i hope the quality of my soil has improved but i honestly dont know how to get so many plants that also bloom at different times... Honestly, planning such a garden requires almost a phd level of studying!
