Yes Yes Yes!!! Actually we should have a system - those who eat healthy & excercise get tested end of year and they get a huge refund from their health insurance 🤓 That would convince most anybody to change their lifestyle! Something similiar is already happening in China - they take body measurements (mandatory). I‘m talking more on a voluntary basis for democratic countries. It can‘t be fair that everyone has to pay for the people who live a dangerous lifestyle whether it‘s junkfood junkies, drug attics or alcoholics. Every single year more people are getting diabetes, cancer, heart disease ... and every single year the health insurance costs go up. Let‘s spread the word, start teaching our kids to eat healthy. Leave the crappy processed foods and sugary foods to rot on the shelves and in the fast food restaurants. Let‘s turn this around people - then we can ignore people like Gillian, because we are all smarter my friends. And we can take our health into our own hands. It‘s really that simple! Thanks for this great video

The fun thing also is that the underlying drive about reaching a percieved normal weight is that we är it as attractive because it signals health, it's probably a deeper instinct than merely fashion of the time. So it's quite absurd how she present her argument. And the bear could often outrun a trained racinghorse in modest distance! (My former SIL, a horseowner saw a bear run uphill and was astounded at the power and speed "teddy" moved upward a steep hill). Tim Spector said in an episode att "The Genius life" about a study they made and found that there 25% difference in gut bacteria with a pair of 18 year old twins who lived together, grew up eating similar meals, genetically pretty much the same. That difference will make a difference in how they tolerate different foods and thus metabolism etc.

When I lost weight, I didn’t give a damn how many calories were in things, I just stopped eating junk, leaving just the healthier stuff. Lost weight effortlessly. I did intermittent fasting too, it really helped me to not feel sick and shaky after a few hours of not eating because of low blood sugar.

When I get up each morning, I enjoy my mug of coffee but I'm not hungry until around 1 pm. One of my key take-aways from Dr. Ekberg is how to differentiate genuine hunger from just old eating habits. I love being able to lean over and touch the ground with my hands without a spare tire of belly fat getting in the way.
@FullmoonPhantom-dn2sr2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t actually tried fasting intentionally, but I naturally eat late. My first meal is usually @1pm or 2pm sometimes later. So if say, I stopped eating the night before @8pm I think I’ve met the necessary steps for 16/8 intermittent fasting. I haven’t really been seeing the same results people talk about after they actually intended to fast though. I’ve lost weight, but it’s been through calorie counting. It’s also not as much as others calorie counting or using other weight-loss methods. (30lbs) I’ve only recently begun looking at the carbs I take in and my protein and fat intake on the food tracker app I use. Is there more you have to do to fast? I don’t tend to eat anything or drink anything (that’s not water) until I eat my first meal. Sometimes I won’t even drink water. Since I’ve been trying to cut down on the unhealthy food I have been making mostly healthy food throughout the week. Only having unhealthier choices on the weekends if at all. What am I missing if I was to seriously try to add intermittent fasting to what I already do?

Dear Dr.. Ekberg , Thank you again and again , I just really feel sorry for her followers who are miss leaded by her and I feel so lucky that I am one of your followers. Thanks God I have reversed my IR and my type 2 Diabetes and my High blood pressure with your Advices and mainly with IF OMAD , I do really appreciate all the scientific information I am getting from your marvelous fantastic channel and always keen to watch what comes new to get more and more awareness about our bodies and health One thing I have noticed that she is talking to people in a very general unscientific way with no knowledge, and that is not good unless here followers are not educated enough with all respect to all of them but she is treating them this way when she speaks to them this way with a lot of general talk and unscientific evidence. Once again I really appreciate your efforts trying to educate us and clarify facts to all of your followers Thank you Sir

The quality of the food has a HUGE impact on the calories out! And the size of your meal has the BIGGEST impact on hunger. Eating a ton of low calorie vegetables with a decent amount of protein got me to finally be able to control my weight and bring it to where I always wanted it!
@SRose-xm4qh3 жыл бұрын
I believed this mindset for years. Did Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, etc etc. You name it, I tried it! I lost weight yes, but I was miserable and gained it all back multiple times; with multiple programs. If you’re eating food that’s bad for you, even with a caloric restriction, you will eventually mess up your hormones and it’s a vicious cycle from there. Choose a low carb for life like I did. Finally lost weight the correct way with a keto lifestyle. I won’t gain the weight back this time, either because I’m eating correctly. Thank you! 🙏

Dr. Sten Ekberg I’ve learned to view everything on youtube with skeptical optimism. Most of these channels do more harm than good by telling people what they want to hear. For obvious reasons. Thanks to you, I can see again and I’m no longer shooting my self in the stomach with a hypodermic three times a day. My doctor (who I had trusted with my health) was speechless the last time I was in his office. They had me jump on the scale twice because they couldnt believe how much weight I have lost. His professional advice was “just keep doing whatever you are doing”. Lol. I bet he watches the julienne michaels channel. 😉
