I started the Keto diet in March of this year. I immediately stopped sugar and flours, including ground provisions. I walk for 1.5 hours 5 days per week, since September 2020. I went from a size 14 to a size 10. The pain in my left knee is gone and the pain in my right hand is also gone (I was diagnosed with arthritis). I sleep better, my skin is looking younger and have more energy. I'm 61 years old, and this is my lifestyle from now on. I eat twice daily: 11 am and 6pm. Watching Dr. Sven's videos makes everything more understandable.

@@Arthur88 yes. every time you eat, no matter what you eat. No carb/sugar, low carb/sugar; Insulin is made. so if you ate everything in one setting/ giant meal/ within the same time frame. your body would create less Insulin. also the longer you intermitt fast (No food) Glucogin is made which is the opposite of insulin, and your body creates H.G.H and enters atophogy where it fixes, reconstructs, strenghtens, creates all new cells, tissue, muscle bone, ligaments, blood.

I wanted to share this with you. 2015 I found out that I have acute kidney failure. After getting out of the hospital the best my kidneys have done is 34%. Usually their function goes up and down. It's difficult to be consistent with everyday life. Several months ago I started fasting every month but still drinking my water for the kidneys. I had my kidneys checked and they were at 35%. Today I got the new results and they were at 38% the highest they have been since I got sick. It has to be the fasting. I'm very grateful for your videos and I thank the Lord for wisdom I came across. I initially tried fasting to help my joints. After loosing over 20 lbs. It has helped. Thank you.

I have dropped my AC1 from 11.1 to 6.4 in 4 months. Eat mostly a plant based diet, with some seafoods. I stick to 2 cups of black coffee with the second cup I recently started to put 1 tablespoon of MTC oil, which did help me to increase my fasting window from 16 to 17 hours. My reason for fasting is to bring my A1C down to a normal range, I’m close but not quite there. I use almond flour and stevia to make my baked goods, muffins,cheese cake, cookies etc. I use arrow root to bread my fish, I eat really good without grains or sugar. Learned a lot from Dr. William Davis books. This was before the Keto craze. Even make my ice cream with heavy cream and berries. His 3 books are on Amazon.

First time I did 2 days intermittent fasting and began water fasting for 5 days to break the insulin resistance and help autoimmune/thyroid issues. I lost 10 pounds and felt amazing. My husband lost 15! 4 weeks later I am on it again and have lost 5 more pounds. I was having UTI/kidney pain so goal was to get into autophagy and get rid of infection. Looking forward to getting to my goal weight and having better health! Thanks to Dr. Ekberg and a cousin who sent me his video! ❤

I love that Dr. Ekberg has been very emphatic about stopping sugar. My regular Doctors don't discuss much about the benefits of lifestyle changes. Sometimes they even discourage my wanting to change. I have never understood how or why some people can be so discouraging about someone else wanting to change their lifestyle for the better. I am learning to not listen to the naysayers, no matter if they are the person next door or a professional person, such as a doctor. My Blood sugar has been getting better and better as I lower my sugar and processed food intake. Yes, I understand that I might not ever completely quit all the bad stuff, but when I think about the consequences of not doing any lifestyle changes, and how that would eventually result in kidney or some other organ failure; knowing that people like Dr. Ekberg are out there cheering on me and others such as myself to change our lifestyles, the incentive to change is doubled.

My weight loss so far..!! First snack at 12 noon, lunch 1 pm, gym from 5.30 pm to 7 or however long it takes.. one scoop of protein powder after the workout and last meal at 8 pm.. i have black coffee with one table spoon of honey at around 6 am.. Almost 4 months in.. Started at 265 pounds or 120 kgs Current weight 210 pounds or 95 kgs Working out 5 days a week. 1 day of HIIT 4 days of weight training. What i eat? I am not a dietician or anything, so i just try to eat healthy.. it's not rocket science.. stop with sugar and refined carbs.. that's it..!! If this helped you I'm happy.. PS. I still have my 2 beers every Sunday afternoon 😂 (which i intended to stop by next month and completely give up on alcohol) Remember!! Good things take time and you'll start seeing results only after a month or so.. Cheers 👍

I had eczema for TWENTY SIX years , thought I'd die with it ( elbows , knees really bad , cracking , hard etc ) Tried so many things with only marginal success.Started intermittent fasting to reverse type II diabetes ( Which it DID ) Did a 9 day water only fast , then a 10 day others 5&7&4 etc Noticed psoriasis / eczema improving dramatically....gone COMPLETELY in 8 MONTHS ‼️‼️

Anyone else hit a plateau and then NO weight.loss at all? I lost 11 pounds then after 2 weeks of 20hr daily Fasting I lost no weight at all on fact gained a pound! It was like my body said, "oh yer doing this eh, well Im honna scrape EVERY possible caloroed from your food to stopweightliss."

@@muskokalad9567yes, I’ve reached a Plato too. What I do is, (and it seems to be working) is every now and then I eat carbohydrates so my body doesn’t get used to not having it - and this seems “reset” the fasting again. Good luck!

Thank you Dr Ekberg! Your info is very helpful! I do water fasts every few months, have done 10 days, 5 days and 3 days, and 1 day! It’s not as hard as some say! I do my normal activities, just at a slower pace. One time I walked 3 miles on day 3 of my 5 day! I was amazed at how much energy I had! I find that when I’m feeling tired, if I get up and move around, I get more energy! Fasting on water only, is cleaning my house, my body is my house!

"You don't want to add tap water" this is applicable in USA and many other countries where the water tastes like chloride. In Sweden, Holland and some other countries the tap water in most cases better than bottled water.

I live in Holland. The water here is not as good as you should think. That has to do with the toxins (many rivers in Holland end in Holland, and there are a lot of companies who dump their toxins in the rivers), which are very costly to filter out by the water companies.
@geriroush8004

bottled water is often just tap water. And tap water has to meet higher standards than bottled. That being said, we all know certain areas of the country are suffering from pollution affecting the water. I live in an old building, with old pipes. I don't like to think about drinking the water that runs through those pipes. I use a filter for my coffee and cooking water and buy filtered water at the store for drinking.

For me, lemon. 1:9 ratio of squeezed juice to spring water. Also, distilled water, 6 oz every hour to help remove various excesses in the body. But only for the fast - do not regular use it! I had high potassium my doctor was alarmed at. Did a fast with the distilled water and amazed him with the result.

Excellent info and presentation! I learned about autophagy. I will say that most commercial (non-organic) nut milks contain artificial ingredients and vegetable thickeners (gums) including carageenan which is particularly known to be hard on the gut. Organic versions have no artificial ingredients but do have thickeners (gums) like gellan, locust bean, xanthan, guar.) Homemade is best!! Thank you! (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist 35+yrs)
