Transforming An Old Corset Into a ✨ Forest Fairy Bodice ✨🧚

Let's turn an old corset that I got back in 2019 that I used for tight lacing into a forest fairy costume piece for a fantasy faire!
Note: The corset I used was $99 so I'm not suggesting you go out and buy the same one if you want to do something similar. This would be good for a thrift flip if you find something plain and boring at the thrift store!

I have the same corset that I don't wear, and I love how it looks even before you put the embellishments on it. I think I'll dye mine too.

Dye can be tricky! You may not have left the waist trainer in the dye bath for long enough (hard to tell with the video edited and such)! You can soak them for up to an hour, just make sure you keep the water moving to prevent uneven colour! Also, using relatively hot water and wetting your garment beforehand helps the dye take!

We use the yellow glue sticks and the brand Superbond glue gun, they are high temp. I added the glue gun and the sticks to the diy list I linked in the description 😁

I'm a little faceblind, and on top of that I found them both at around the same time, so I always mix those two up until I check the channel name 😅 Both lovely crafty redheads! But if I see a fairy, I'll assume it's DressMeUpScotty and be pleasantly surprised if Rachel is turning into a forest denizen too 😁
