I think it was during the promotion for "50 First Dates" when they mentioned that if they had met each other at some earlier point in their lives, they probably would have tried to date. but they also both said that it has always been platonic among them - and I absolutely believe it, to me they come across more like "besties" than lovers. Barrymore put it like this on a talk show: "that's probably why we've been able to stick together all these years because there never was that awkward moment." (I also doubt Sandler's wife would be as comfortable telling her husband to kiss Barrymore more passionately - according to him a thing that happened during the filming of "Blended", with the former thinking he didn't look "alive" enough - if she had any reason to assume that there was some sort of romantic chemistry.

Okay, seriously, what is w/ people? These 2 make adorable movies. The wedding Singer was goofy & so sweet, 50 first dates was incredible, Blended was absolutely hilarious, so sweet & touching.. They have great chemistry, they're both awesome people.
