I was at the interview between Drew and MGK and it was one of the most moving things I’ve been a part of. I love MGK and to see him so vulnerable and raw gives even more to connect to. Oftentimes, the urge to hide how you feel behind fake smiles and laughs is so much easier than saying you’re not okay. It’s so beautiful to see people you look up to share that they feel these things just like any other person out there. We all share the same struggle no matter what status we are.

I can't help but to go back to Robin Williams.. the man we all saw as happy go lucky wearing smiles for miles yet he was dying inside. It's absolutely okay to not be okay. I'm glad MGK is talking about his mental space and feeling off. He is really so misunderstood..

I couldn’t agree more, as I too have had many days when I’ve felt down, dark moments, grief, and even heavy loss. But my social media feed is often pics of my bright wide smiles, along with positive quotes, and hope-filled comments. So I couldn’t agree more, @K Lynne you never know what people are going through behind the scenes. Behind many smiles, there is often sad and tragic even pain, it is okay to not, be okay. Rest In Peace always to Robin Williams.🙏🏾💛🙏🏾

Wow! This is so powerful and it spoke to me. I've been feeling guilt & shame around being stuck in cycles that don't serve me, but I KNOW I am capable of so much more. It's OK to not be okay ! Drew and MGK brought up such a good conversation around this subject.

"Share the journey" folks... Warts and all. Understanding, understanding isn't always easy. But the more we reveal of our honest human existence to others, the more human we become to them and so too is the reverse. Projecting an attractive, but manufactured, facade sets us apart from others. When we separate, we open the gate to hate.
