In the late summer of 2022, I lived off the grid for 9 weeks exploring and fly fishing some of the west's most remote streams. I recorded every day and started sharing my 9-week truck bed camping road trip after I returned home in mid-October. In part 31 of the truck bed camping road trip, I'm fly fishing this incredible stream in Idaho and it's the beginning of hunting season which means it's not getting any attention right now! This is an awesome time to be on these area waters...I had every inch of this stream to myself while hunters were in the mountains!
I started my 9 week road trip on July 31, 2022, and spent roughly 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Check out all the videos from this trip in the playlist linked below:

You might think about trying wading pants and boots...especially the way you're fishing...they are very cool to wear and easy to get in and out of.

You are absolutely awesome. The best you tube fly fishing videos. I have watched your videos dozens of times. I started fly fishing when I lived in California, and learned to tie flies with the late Andre Puyan. The AP nymph was the first fly i learned to tie. I thought it was named after him, but he claimed it was the all purpose nymph. I hope to see soon a 2023 road trip. Maybe you could include in a future video a trip through Northern California. Perhaps New Mexico, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana. Please keep the videos coming. Love it.

I am certain you cover a lot of ground to find the nice runs and holes, which you don't show. Just goes to show looks can be deceiving sometimes, and you get rewarded for your effort. Actually, we get rewarded for your effort. 😁 Thank you Drew.

I do love your videos!! Once in awhile please throw us a bone and let us actually know the creek, stream, river, or lake that you're fishing so maybe we can have the experience too. Most of us live nowhere near any of these bodies of water but should we travel to the area, it would be awesome toggle it a go! I doubt very highly that any spot will be fished out by your viewers. We have more nature ethics than plundering. Nice cutties!

Your fly line makes an unusual sound slipping through the rod guides. What fly line is it? Oh, don’t retire that net! It looks like a survivor of many epic battles, with so many stories to tell!

Have you ever fished the Continental Divide in Wyoming? In a 1 mile radius, you can catch Rainbow, Bonneville Cutthroat Brown, and Brooke from 3 rivers. It's where I earned my fishing merit badge and first found a love of this sport. I'd love to see some footage of you catching the 4 species in a day.

This type of fishing is tough on us older guys, but it's worth the effort and fun. Hey drew, that stream you were fishing, was the water level low or at normal flow? Enjoyed watching. 👍
