Why Hulk vs Superman is Currently Not Close

DC comics has already stated Hulk is stronger than Superman. This occurred in Doomsday clock issue number 12. This issue was suppose to be a prelude to 2030 marvel and DC crossover event called secret crisis. In it doomsday clock 12, Dr Manhattan viewing the future talks about the hulk "a green behemoth stronger than even Doomsday." Dr. Manhattan then talks about how Hulk saves superman's life against a being superman can't defeat in this crisis. Google it or buy the comic.

Superman all the way. Boundless Hope vs Endless Rage would be an amazing fight. Personally, I don't see how Superman could lose with his greater speed, access to flight, and his ability to make the impossible possible. I'm on the fence on this one, on the one hand I can see Superman pulling out the insane bag of hacks and ultimately pulling a BFR move on FS Hulk but at the same time I do believe Hulk even at that point if it get's that serious will reach a point where he may counter with his resistances or by simply adapting as he has on several occasions like when he started shooting lasers out his eyes when facing those Abominations in the Starship saga or him breathing underwater way back or all the times he's breathing in deep space or even the times he's punched through time and crushed singularities strong enough to pull in classic Dr. Strange, Namor and Silver Surfer. BFR as you said could work but I don't think it would be the be all end all as I see Hulk eventually depending on where Supes sends him will simply bust his way out through sheer narrative breaking force and somehow find his way back to continue the fight and ultimately it will come down to straight hands. I don't think the speed gap matters all that much as Hulk has been able to tag and beat literal speedsters that break the speed equation several times over and even characters like Sentry who can beat Molecule Man who matches up against Pre-Retcon Beyonder couldn't beat Green Scar Hulk at his best let alone once he went World Breaker for the first time after knocking him out. The biggest Win Con I give Superman is if he BFR's the Hulk at the very start and avoids fighting him long term altogether. But if it's a fight to the end I give it to Hulk as even if Superman goes hard at the mid or even start of the fight he'll simply adapt and counter and if Hulk lands a significant blow to Superman and I don't mean just a casual one I mean a full powered maximum effort fatal blow than he wins. Superman will probably land more hits on Hulk than Hulk lands on him but the effectiveness of those hits won't be enough to put him down and ultimately I see Hulk coming out on top but with high difficulty.

@@joezar33 No that's not what happens in the story, Sentry and Hulk revert to their human forms before Robert Reynolds(Sentry) passes out telling Bruce "Thank you for letting me let loose" and then Miek after seeing Bruce asks "Where is Hulk?" and proceeds to try and force him to Hulk out by stabbing him only for Rick Jones to get in the way and take the hit getting impaled causing Bruce to Hulk out and go into the World Breaker Form for the first time then we get the reveal that Miek saw the Red King's followers load an unstable warp core onto the ship Hulk arrived in, and he let that happen thinking it would remind Hulk of who he truly is a "World Breaker". The story ends with Hulk begging his former friends to try and stop him before he "Breaks the World" and Tony uses his Stark Satellites to ram him and drain all the access Gamma Energy bursting out of him reverting him back to Bruce. The last thing we see at the end of World War Hulk is the reveal of his Son Scar on Sakar.

Hulk has also punched his way out of a time storm, so trapping him in time wouldn't work, I think. Much of the belief that Hulk is stronger than Superman, or would definitely defeat Superman, is based on his anger issues and believing that anger is an almighty motivator. This in addition to Hulk excessive and vulgar musculature implies superior strength simply because he's larger in size. None of this is a legitimate reason for Hulk defeating Superman. Then we have the simplistic and silly notion that Superman is boring because he's overpowered, yet not so overpowered that the Hulk cannot defeat him, and no one ever then claims Hulk is overpowered for being able to do so. I guess if you're a fan of rage and destruction Hulk's your man. I can see the fight going either way, but my heart and my brain wouldn’t be able to fathom any force defeating any Hulk above Professor Hulk and the comparison to Doomsday isn’t accurate or fair. This story further proves that the narrative we are told about Doomsday isn’t even fact as Superman killed him the same way for a second time and was about to kill him the same way for a third, which destroys the narrative that Doomsday can’t be killed the same way a second time. Then in Hulk’s story he destroyed Eldest in a way that would have permanently killed Doomsday if he was in Eldest shoes. The crazy thing is you didn't even mention sun dipping lol. We all saw what he did to world forger after a sun dip and that was one that only lasted seconds. Sure he flew thru multiple suns but that was just for dramatic storytelling, sitting inside one would have the same effect. This is a genuine tossup. Superman is blatantly faster and has better mobility, Hulk is blatantly stronger, and tougher with regen. Neither are too far behind the other in these categories to decide an immediate winner. Though Supes can outspeed hulk, his heat vision probably won't do anything but piss Hulk off or stun him initially, and Hulk is strong enough to disrupt Supe's activity with the legendary hallowed goated Thunderclap. Either Supes gets a BFR, or Hulk is able to punish the attempt. That's where the fight will be decided.

Me personally it could really go either way. Hulk is Endless Rage while Superman is Boundless Hope. Hulk however is confirmed to be immortal so even if Superman reduced him to ashes Hulk will come back stronger than he was previously. Plus, Superman wouldn't let the fight drag on because he knows that if he did the Hulk would just get stronger to where Superman exhausts all methods of putting him down. Moreover, Superman would be more worried about collateral because the longer they fight the more damage they do to the environment to where they could just outright split the planet in two from the force of their blows. So really the only way I see Superman is winning is him taking out the Hulk as quickly as possible. Otherwise he won't be able to put him down.

Respectfully disagree. Superman's punches aren't going be enough to put down the Hulk. Hulk was recently turned into a demonic tree by Eldest and he still came back. Thanos couldn't put down the Hulk in their fight, Mistress Death admitted herself that she can't put down the Hulk, Nephele (the Angel of Death & wife of Lucifer) couldn't put him down, GR-44 couldn't put him down with his Helffire attacks, even Thor amped with the power of the Hulk couldn't put him down. Hulk prior to his current run became stronger than a population of Hulks that don't even know what the word 'heavy' means. We've seen in this issue of Superman, that after he calmed down, he immediately gassed out and Lois Lane had to help him fly back home because how exhausted he was. Since the Red Kryptonite radiation in Superman's body forces his mind to enter a bloodlusted state, it also makes him push his body to the point of exhaustion. If Supercorp weren't there to sedate and capture Doomsday, then the fight would been a lot longer and more in Doomsday's favor, to the point where Superman would most likely become too exhausted to fight him anymore. Moral of the story, Superman currently can't beat the Hulk in a war of attrition because of the infection he has in his body

The only reason superman wins at this point in time is still the speed factor superman is unfairly faster than the Hulk that is why he takes the edge but if superman had to stand ten toes in front of the Hulk and have a slugfest he's losing without a doubt in my mind he's not going punch for punch with the Hulk, Hulk is physically stronger than superman and he is arguably more durable not by much but by enough to wear it is a factor and since superman will never be stupid enough to stand in front of the Hulk and say let box I'm going to say 8.5 times out of 10 superman takes to this fight at the moment

My vote is Hulk could go either way, I just think with all of Hulks previous fights with Superman analogs in Marvel who are technically faster, or someone like Surfer who is definitely faster would prove Hulk could tag him. @@mongooseunleashed 1 solar radiations even contain gamma radiations and the sun was a problem only for the devil hulk, not for other personalities, 2 hulk is durable enough to not get vaporized in the sun, his power level can increase a lot and one of his abilities it's literally to adapt to every environment (that's why hulk normally can even stay in space or underwater without problems or wherever you can imagine) so if superman throw hulk in the sun it would just makes hulk angrier than before, more powerful and if hulk goes completely out of control he can possibly destroy the sun killing billions of people and yes, typically hulk holds back a lot to not be a true danger for the innocent people but it already happened to see hulk just fights without thinking about the possible consequences and (for an exemple) when he destroyed the physical form of onslaught with one punch he also destroyed the entire reality for an instant (because if i remember good franklin resolved the situation saving everyone) so throwing hulk in the sun besides being useless it's dangerous

I think you're well reasoned & its a very competitive fight, but I disagree with your conclusion because I think things don't add up. As you admitted in the video, their very close in strength. If that's the case, then Hulk should win, because if they start off close or equal and Hulk just gets stronger as the fight goes on, then Hulk should win against that oppoenet. Especially if that oppoenent simultaneously gets weaker the longer the fight goes on simultaneously (like Superman. His healing factor isn't as good as Hulk's and he can suffer from exhaustion too, like he did in some of his past Doomsday fights. This all depends on how long the fight lasts of course) So I see no logical way Superman wins, the only thing I could see as advantageous is speed but Hulks combat speed is on par with speedsters, so that will hardly be a factor in the fight. To me this is two super OP people trading blows, until one breaks first, and based on their abilities Hulk would be the last to physically break because on top of his durability he has his insane healing, never fatiguing, and growing stronger. In order for someone to beat the Hulk with only pure brute force/physical strength, they would need to be substantially stronger, not equal to slightly stronger, to account for those abilities. Of course this bars beings with magical powers and whatnot cause that's a different ballgame. Good video!

Superman can get stronger mid fight too and he’s already way faster than hulk in combat speed so this fight would just be a quick KO, especially since superman is way more intelligent than Hulk he’s just gonna work his way around him with his speed and strength just like he does all brutes. Superman has infinite stamina under a yellow sun, his healing factor is actually really good, he can regenerate and pull himself back together from his body part seperated by a tessarcat swarm and can survive being skeleton etc. plus he wouldn’t need to regenerate from any of hulk attacks because his raw durability can take source level attacks without having scratch. Hulk’s combat speed is not comparable to someone that can keep up with Flashes any person that says that is straight up delusional.

Combat speed and actual speed are two different things. We've seen Hulk fight speedsters and he doesn't struggle, so theirs zero reason to suggest that will be an element here. If you are, then you're either ignorant on the Hulk or are biased towards the results you want. You can definitely argue Superman would win ofc, but saying Hulk wouldn't be able to hit him is ludacris. Anyways, Superman can get exhausted under a yellow sun as we've seen in past fights with Doomsday where he "died" while fighting him, he was clearly fatigued and exhausted. He also cannot get stronger mid fight. Maybe he holds back less and less which means he's releasing more of his strength, but that's not the same as his actual strength increasing. And yeah ik Superman has some healing abilities but Hulk's is just better is my point, it's on par with Deadpools. Hulk is gonna be like a stronger version of Doomsday that keeps getting eve. stronger as the fight continues.

Yes combat speed and actual speed 2 different things which why is said hulk is not keeping up with superman who can keep up with the flash in terms of combat speed. Silver’s surfer’s combat speed is horrible compared to his travel speed so horrible example to use and try to use for hulk. a: Superman is able to maintain continuous strenuous physical action for an indefinite period of time. This is based on his body converting yellow solar radiation directly to energy, doomsday could push him to that point but hulk wouldn’t because doesn’t have to expend a lot of energy to fight him can easily avoid most of his attack put him down with his own. Also yes he can get stronger mid fight aslong as he’s under a sun he’s actively absorbing more energy and that’s not even consider superman can literally absorb hulk’s gamma radiation to depower him if he’s getting stronger during the fight. Superman is stronger faster more durable and has better abilities across the board.
