Since I started taking Bilberry and Saffron supplements before bed, I sleep well. I also sleep on my left side. I use a humidifier and clear both sides of nasal passage before bed...and try always to be conscious of breathing through my nose not my mouth. It's working. No more waking up in the middle of the night. I also use the sound of rain KZbin videos. Works like a charm. No more sleep apnea or crappy doctors.

Since giving up sugary deserts, I "smore no more." LOL Seriously, I've tried some of these recommendations (e.g., no eating or drinking late, left side sleep, etc.) and they DO work !

Baby’s snore, puppy’s snore. I sleep on my left side and I still snore. I occasionally drink alcohol and my last meal is about 3 hrs before bedtime. I still snore. Now weight loss is my next step.

I have sleep apnea, and I correlated it with the absence of my gallbladder that's when I started having issues. I wish someone would do a video on the hidden side effects after gallbladder removal.

Humm, my gall bladder was removed in 2007, I’d ask my doctor but the only thing she knows is how to write prescriptions, I asked her if I could get tested for allergies, she said sleep apnea has nothing to do with allergies but I’m reading on the internet that it can be caused by allergies. 🤷♀️

This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way. I just love learning from his simple to understand videos ... I respect this man immensely. 👍👍👍

Super hard with neck issues. Back sleeping can be super safe providing you don’t sleep with your mouth open.

Not sleeping on your back is a no brainer if you have apnea, i was a heavy sleeper in my 30s, slept on my back stopped breathing and suddenly wake bolt upright gasping for air. So since then i trained myself to sleep on my sides and i stay on that side till i wake and i simply turn to the other side. Now in my late 60s, i can sleep on my stomach as well I'm only 73 kg so its not overweight. So by all these simple things, i avoid Apnea.

Not everybody can sleep on the side for various reasons (TMJ, unstable neck etc.). Mewing helps.

My ENT said that is more the sleep apnea causing weight gain than the weight gain causing sleep apnea. I DO believe that getting a fatter neck does make things worse

Good Morning Dr. Gundry, I have a Question. When I have seen all your videos, which of your books do I still need to read to learn everything important?

About mouth taping - you don't need to completely seal your mouth for it to be effective, and you shouldn't. A piece of surgical tape on each side of your mouth, leaving about a half inch gap in the centre, works very well for me..

Dr Gundry, you didn't mention CPAP's, which I use because I have to. BTW, I sleep on my right side, which I am told is unusual.

Wake up Dr Gundry. There is another reason why sleep apnea exists and you are clueless to understanding the cause. I could do your same podcast and be an expert. However, I'm not a doctor to have the authority to do a podcast. I've listened to multiple doctors including all your interviews and not one time have you mentioned my condition. Sorry you are not a real expert.
