Neat to see her, one of the iconic ladies of country music, in such an intimate setting. Guess she was doing this for Mentor Williams.

Lynn Anderson still had that powerhouse voice right til the end. Love seeing her supporting local art festivities in her hometown at the time (and her bf). I hope they're both resting in complete peace.

Y'all should have heard him do his _gospel version_ of this song. It even blows this one away. I heard him, Michael, *and* Lynn do it at Taos Valley Baptist church!!

Tim Reeves does it again! In this intimate video, Tim captures Mentor Williams singing his most famous song - Drift Away. One of the few videos where this occurs. He sings accompanied by Lynn Anderson along with Michael Hearne, Syd Masters, Tish Hinojosa, Shake Russell and Jimmy Stadler.

This song, is one of the rare songs, that sounds so damn sweet, irregardless of who sings it. It's true, Dobie is a more talented/gifted singer. But to bring a masterpiece like this one, into the world is culture changing. 1,000 years from, this song will almost certainly be on someone's list. As they fly through the cosmos. Hell, maybe an alien is listening to this song right now. Zipping around like WIllie Nelson sings about. And you and I? We have Mentor Williams to thank for that.
